Response to: Do you mix in your composing DAW? Posted October 30th, 2010 in Audio

Acid is pretty nice i thought. It was my starting program, then I bough Ableton Live. And then I bought cubase!!!!

I do all my production and mastering in cubase, but If i want to mess around with stuff and do a live 'as it is' mix, i use ableton.

Okay, I've worked where the fault is coming from..

It's something to do with my front mic port. Possibly because It's nearer to my extension lead/ plugs? Or possibly because my front port is fucked :P

If I find out definately what it is, I shall inform

Mic.

And the cables not damaged, I get this with my headset for gaming also :S

I'll check the microphone boost thing too.

Recording Buzz Posted December 26th, 2009 in Audio

I've been trying to record some acoustic guitar lately as a bit of a mess around, and I've been get this strange buzz.

Has anyone come across this sound before? And know what could be causing it.

Just to let you know, I've done recordings before and this has never happened, it's only become a recent thing.

It honestly requires nothing but a lot of time on ones hands, basic musical knowledge and the knowledge of using the same beats over and over again because people can't seem to find anything else to use, and it's destroying the imaginations of the new generation of musicians.

That's a bit of a narrow-minded judgment. A lot of electronic I've heard, is inspired by lots of genre's. Jazz, acoustic, pop, rap, metal. And a lot of the electronic music includes these genres, making sub genres like Acid house, Liquid, Industrial.

Also, you quite simply cannot judge genre's on musical technicality. Take Eric Clapton for example, he claims to have had no musical knowledge, it just sounded good to him.

If anything, electronic music is sort of a revolution in music.
