As you watch the video take note on the certain lines he drops to help make sure the figure does not look flat.

When I was younger I was a big fan of low-poly models. I realised that studying wireframes helped me understand how a figure exists in 3D space. Literally.
Thank you, I think the videos have helped. I think I have broken this form down into rectangles and cylinders, and would like to see if the proportions are correct because I'm still a little unsure

I think your doing great on shape and form, so try not to get too discouraged when you hear things about "Depth" and how your not properly portraying it; it's a skill, and like any skill it takes a while to build up. I'd be glad to give you some pointers on some things that will help with your proportions, as well as your perspective. so feel free to message me whenever, i would be more than glad to get back to you ASAP, i check this about every day so i'll be as prompt in response as i can. In the meantime, check out "Draw with Jezza" on youtube. he has tons of videos on anatomy, both male and female, and how the forms are built and muscles wrap it, etc. etc. as i said, I'm more than glad to give you some pointers so hit me up anytime. and keep practicing, even your sketches show raw talent, and an eye for form and perspective; just try not to get too discouraged from messages detailing your lack of skill, as these are bad forms of criticism. instead, focus on the fact that, while off on form, your only slightly off. You do have a keen eye for the figure, and with some refining, you'll make a great character designer; should you chose to be so. you have a great start for a beginner, even on perspective. keep practicing drawing those figures!! and check out those videos, there a great source of info for beginners like us (I'm new too :} ) and youll be good in no time.
