Flash Stumbles

Wow, I feel like a complete n00b.

Yesterday was the first day I've touched flash in I don't know how long. And I'm completely frustrated at how much I forgot. Hell I'm just trying to make an intro to something and I can't even figure out how to get some text to fade in. At one point I tried manually adjusting the Opacity of the letters FBF.

I feel so lost, I can remember simple things like tweens, variables, library, MC's, etc, but I completely forgot all the little tricks I used to know to make animating a bit easier.

Car Accident

They suck. Some lady didn't see me coming and pulled out in front of me. I had to swerve fast and ended up wrecking into some brush. She was real nice about it though, turned around to help, and admitted it was her fault.

Mostly cosmetic damage to my vehicle, with the exception of 2 blown front tires and bent rims. Me and my passenger are fine though, apart from me having a massive backache.

I now know how you felt glaiel :(...

Game Ideas

It felt like that had been done before... But as many of you have said, a lot of concepts have been used and many games are just reconstructions of others. I may try to draw up some sprites and see if it looks good enough where I want to find a programmer and continue it.

The way I actually wanted to build the game is as you start out as a sperm in the urethra, where you have to make your way around small blocks and such. Then as you get to each stage in the game, (vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tube, and to the egg) each one becomes like a mini-game in itself. Similar to the style of Glaiel and BoM's Nuctracker game.

I don't know, I just think it'd be cool.

Game Ideas

I've been giving serious thought to making a game where you play as a sperm and your mission is to fertilize an egg.

Any thoughts? It feels like this might have been done before.

I took one road test and passed it. I think playing racing games all my life helped me though, I don't know. I guess I'm just a natural born driver because it took me less than a week of driving to learn the ins and outs, and get better than A LOT of the drivers out there :P.

Yeah, if you are talking about what I think you are just pull out and wait for an opening.

If its like a single-green (no two-side left arrow thing), you can pull out, but the other cars have the right of way. Same if it is that double-thing and you have no green arrow. If you have an arrow, you can go without worrying.

Driving

I honestly love driving. I don't care where or when, whether it be in the middle of the country where a straight open road materializes before you and you can put the hammer down, to a nice silent drive through town, it's awesome for me.

Although I should probably cut back on my racing. Some kid got killed last week in the same local street race ring as me :(. He swerved, lost control, and split his car in 2 around a telephone pole. It was actually sad too, all of us in our little racing group knew him, he was a cool guy.
