And lots of units doesn't make a good game, but 11 units is WAY too low, I like games with a lot of replayability, and a lot of unit variety, that's why I hated Supreme Commander, there are a lot of units, but they all look and feel the same.
Yeah, Supreme Commander was hard for me to get into, its really an eye candy game. Economy management felt really hard to get used to, and the units' purposes overlapped.
A few more things about SC2 before I leave(Ive done my homework on this stuff):
- Its singleplayer mode will be very different from multiplayer, and will give you choices in tech.
- It currently has more units than the original, and will have many old and new units in the map editor.
- It has 2 expansions planned.
- The Map Editor is awesome, it can change the game completely.
- Bnet is still free.
