Ok well I just bought a mic.. And I connected it and stuff:) But whenever I want to record something in FL Studio 8 XXL, it says like turn on your ASIO drivers.. So I opened the ASIO panel, and it showed only my Soundcard, and not my mic or something.. So I was like, lets try it anyway.. And I did, but whenever I want to record something, it gives like this buzzing noise all the time, which is not because of my mic or something, but it just makes the recording fucked.. And when I record in Edison it shows like it should, but with that buzzing noise all the time, and that just sucks. Also, I can't seem to find out how I can just use my mic to record just my speaking, like in this video. And I turned off something in ASIO, my Out function of my soundcard, but now I can't turn it on for some reason anymore.. Blegh. I don't know what is wrong now.. Can you please help me ?=(

Well ok I understand your point.. I'll take some more time to find out some good songs:) And I'll be a little pickier, because there is a lot of great stuff on the AP, but some songs are better fit than others..

Well for the song idea, I guess you could kick your dog (or any other domestic animal, except for a cat, that is the lead melody) and record it's squeels as backing melody. Don't forget to comb it's hair first though, it gives a better acoustic, and makes the sound less resonant, especially when working with goldfishes. Also, you will need a bit of toilet water so you can surf on the internuts looking for MIDI files, but you don't use MIDI files, so you can just leave them in a folder and let them rot away. Another great suggestion is that you turn the power on before starting your work, and smashing your monitor 84 times, EXACTLY 84 times, and then feed your goldfish, that you are going to use later. However, keep it in a dry and secure place, places of suggestions are your butthole, in the floor, or keep it in a measurer, that'll do the trick. Don't forget to put a trophy you won with your Capybara selling on your head, as pictured below.

Let your creativity do the rest..

Greatest Song

People really underestimate it, and just waste their money on VST's that arn't even comparable of what you can do with the 3xOSC. People spend £300 on NeXus when you can easily obtain the same results with the 3x.

I'll tell you what.. I don't spend 300 pounds on Nexus, I frequently use 3xOsc too, butt when looking for easy presets, you can always try them too, btw I already read your tutorial, thanks for it ;D I never use Nexus anyway even tho I have it, it takes too much PC Load.. >=C That makes me unhappi.

Superwave P8 Great plugin for whatever! You can pump lovely sounds out of this one:) Has a lot of functions, like 2 Osc's, 2 filter's, 2 filter envelopes, 2 AMP envelopes, and a loooot more. It is a JP8000 emulation, but not A emulation, but THE emulation:D You'd pay a lot of money for a Vsti like this, but this one is free:) It's superwaves give a really fat sound, definetly give this a try!

It depends... Most saws will do, but I don't know exactly.. I think the Gold Saw, Silver Saw and Platinum Saw presets in Sytrus come pretty close, toy around with those until you found what you need. That is the best idea for you I think when you don't have any extra vst's plugged in.. And a lot of external vst's have something to offer for you, just search around for them, like z3ta+, Nexus, Vanguard, those things.. Check them out to see if they have what you need.

Ok good to have you here :) FL Studio is in my opinion the most user friendly program around, so I guess you should best stick with that:) How to make good songs? Depends on what genre you are making. Each genre has it's own staples that are very common within that genre, like in trance a kick beat that goes every 4 steps, you know, the boom boom boom boom effect:D As for tutorials, you can take a look at AcePincter's YouTube Channel, Warbeats.com and on Warbeats YouTube Channel. If you want to, you can add me on msn: alex.vogelaar@xs4all.nl . Hope I helped you.

Gorillazrock, you might have read my PM already, and I want to let you know that I wanna do this thing for ages, and that a NG AP radio podcast should have come waaay earlier:D I'd like to be a DJ or a Music Hunter, but that depends on what spaces there are:) I prefer to be a DJ though. I have a pretty good idea for the podcast, add me on msn if you want to: alex.vogelaar@x4all.nl

I don't know of any executable programs, but may I do a suggestion for a Vst that uses sounds made using a SID chip(sound chip of the commodore 64)? It's called quadraSID, and if you download a midi and split all tracks up in separate patterns, this is the vst to get your 8bit sounds from =D
