Problem is, if the Casey Anthony trial is any indication of how things can go horribly wrong due to people who let their emotions, rather than logic and common sense guide them, Zimmerman may be behind bars for a very long time.

Don't remind me aside from that internet search material, not reporting her baby is missing in a month's time...

Medicare Part D? which has huge bipartisan support.
Actually, it passed Congress by a narrow marging. I would not call that "huge" bipartisan support. But that is 2, thank you for the correction.

You misunderstand me, I mean it has huge support now.

Lots, the Muslim minority in the UK also uses welfare at a higher rate.

I'm sorry FIM you didn't even address the socioeconomic differences did you?

Response to: Gun Control Does Not Work (proof) Posted July 5th, 2013 in Politics

Is FIM the one who brings up Australia? Can we bring up Norway 2011 with their higher regulation then the U.S suffering attacks from a Gunman who killed 69 people I believe injuring 110 others and 55 of them were in serious condition

Same weapon as pic

Norway's Gun control is stricter then the measures that failed here.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/12/14/conn-elementary-s chool-shooting-tragically-makes-list-of-worst-shooting-spree s-in-u-s-history/

Virginia Tech's massacre was the worst in U.S. History that I'm aware of and he used 2 pistols.
He passed background checks and didn't use the scary rifle the media labels an "assault weapon"

Passing a ban like Australia's would require search and seizure of hundreds of millions of weapons. (Who pays for the people to do all this?) Or it would not remove the already existing weapons.

In the UK I believe the polls recently done showed an overwhelming majority 86% of nearly 15k polled would like their guns back. Why do you think that is?

in the US murder is dropping without more gun control and has been for a long time.

http://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/press/fv9311pr.cfm

In 2004 (the most recent year of data available), among state prison inmates who possessed a gun at the time of the offense, fewer than two percent bought their firearm at a flea market or gun show. About 10 percent of state prison inmates said they purchased it from a retail store or pawnshop, 37 percent obtained it from family or friends, and another 40 percent obtained it from an illegal source.

(Keep in mind friend or family can be a fellow gang banger, not just your dad or uncle Bill)

And we've discussed already why foreign comparisons are invalid. And even if firearms were removed from every home it would not stop the flow of guns from groups like Los Zetas, Gulf Cartel, and Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13)
Don't worry though, guns are illegal in Mexico our neighbor to the south. Yes, they are another country a country that shares a border with the U.S. and doesn't actually maintain control over their entire country.

We've gone over how many violent crimes are stopped by civilians without ever needing to fire their weapon as well.

What points did you want to seriously discuss?

In fact, that's the ONE thing the last President did that I really have no criticism of. He gave lots of foreign aid to Africa as well.

Really? So after 9/11 did the US suffer more terrorist attacks?

Basically not even a cure at that rate, an unreachable cure isn't a cure.

Shame that 80% of Americans actually want a couple of decent, reasonable gun control measures put in place, but because the other 20% are so loud and aggressive and basically say, 'mandatory background checks?! From my cold dead hands!' So the debate stalls and nothing gets resolved.

We've talked about what you think is reasonable haven't we?

So, Amy insists that the gun would have been pressed up against the hoody to leave the marks it did.
So for example the hoody was hanging down off his body because Zimmerman was on the bottom, just as an example.

Response to: Trayvon Martin case gets Ugly Posted July 3rd, 2013 in Politics

I'd like to mention it was obvious Zimmerman was most likely from the neighborhood since it was a gated community and he was in a vehicle.

and Like Korri pointed out, yes plenty of evidence.

Egypt's economy tanked since the removal of long time U.S. and Israeli ally, Mubarak.

Yes Obama, I'm so glad he left, now that an extremist group is the largest political group in Egypt, I'm glad the Egyptian people for whatever reason are unhappy.

But black teens were burglarizing the neighborhood and TM was a self proclaimed Thug with a Crippin life style. Not only that but the black community itself has thrown its support behind TM much like a large % of black voters did for Obama. (Much larger then would be the norm)

We've talked that to death, which is why no one counters us anymore, and their ADD gun control passion really isn't as powerful as how we generally feel about the 2nd amendment.
I suppose my pro-gun control standpoint comes from me not seeing much of a point in owning one, I'm not going to try and change anyone's mind because I find the whole concept of doing something like that rude and in poor taste. I think we can stay civil and agree to disagree on this area of politics.

Keep fighting the fight to do what you believe is right.
