I think the yo-yo fad is one that nobody really got. Yeah, everyone spent tons of cash on the coolest yo-yo they could find, but nobody really used them after the 3rd day or so after they realized that it takes more than 10 seconds to learn all the cool tricks.

Damn yo-yo sellers and their cool tricks.

Response to: How's my playlist? Posted November 27th, 2008 in General

Hm... You basically just took the most popular songs from all these popular guys.

I like all the songs, and it's overall good music (There's a reason why they are mostly famous songs) but none of it is really underground. They're harder to find, but even the most famous bands can have a few hidden treasures that you never even heard of. You just gotta look for them.

Response to: First scary dream Posted November 25th, 2008 in General

Maybe not my first, but the earliest I remember.

I was in bed (in my dream) I was scared for some reason, so I decided to go to my parents room. But, for some reason, I went to my sister's room across the hall. But there was a cave where her closet usually is and there were big rocks everywhere. Anyway, there were two zombies in her room. I picked up a pretty thin stick and started beating one of them after he came after me. It didn't work very well, so I ran back to my room. I went under my covers and then woke up.

I remember it more vividly than I do any of my more recent dreams.

I never liked Rugrats. I watched it every morning because it was all that was on, but it never did click.

Response to: 1st thing that amazed internet wise Posted November 25th, 2008 in General

I remember just loving the ability to talk to people you don't even know on chat rooms n' such.

It's odd because my friend is just like how I was back then because he has an internet block in his house, so he hardly gets on unless he's over at someone's house. He gets on chatrooms and sends myspace apps to people and basically just does tons of things that I would do back when I was 12. He does similar stuff on Xbox live, making weird voices and stuff and trying to be the funny guy.

Response to: Songs people won't give a chance to Posted November 24th, 2008 in General

I know that everyone has different musical tastes, which is alright. I sometimes disagree with other people's choices, but I try to give them a listen. Sometimes, I still hate it, but it's cool with me.

But there are some people who, I must say, just listen to crap that they say is "old" a few days later. I actually never consider a song good unless I continue to like it for a long time.

Some people just feel so obligated to only like who is big at the moment, and when they fall, they go on to the next band, singer.

The Daft Punk stuff is a definitely underrated band by many. Also, some jazz, classical, and alternative stuff just gets the cold shoulder when it presents itself.

I'll admit, I think they all sound the same. What's sucky about him, is it the tone or something? He sounds the same as all those other guys to me.

Response to: Am I too small? Posted November 18th, 2008 in General

Why do you even care?

You're too young for sex anyway. And even if you are looking for sex, the deciding factor for whether you get it or not isn't gonna be your wang size. A girl won't pull down your pants and say, "Oh, too small," and just zip you back up.

Response to: Fueling the internet hate machine.. Posted November 16th, 2008 in General

What good would come of everyone believing that there is no love.
The world would be much more bitter and nobody would do anything helpful.

With the belief of love, the world would a completely different place. Some people aren't going around screwing anything that moves. Some people donate to charities. Some people keep pets and take care of them. Some people stay married to one person for their whole lives.

I don't wish to prove you wrong (Even though I think you are), because I honestly don't have enough proof. I bet I could find some if I looked for a few minutes, though. I just want to ask you why you would want to persuade people that love doesn't exist. Would there be any benefits if you converted everyone to not believe in love?

At 11/16/08 07:08 AM, Earfetish wrote: I don't know why people don't TRY cigarettes. What if you really like them and decide they're worth it?

That's the problem. I don't want to like them. Yes, I am curious about what it would be like, 'cause it must be pretty good if people are always smoking them. The reason I would never try one is because I know that I would eventually want to quit, and that would just be another addition to life's problems. Besides, though probably extremely exaggerated, all those "don't smoke" videos to touch up on long term effects that I really just wouldn't want to deal with.

I've always been the type to try new things.

It's not that you're missing out on smoking, which was very nice for as long as I did it but no more; you're missing out on having the right attitude to life. People are dictating life choices to you. If you've never smoked a cigarette and are never going to, and you're really anti-smoking, I'm sorry, but I think you're brainwashed. This is coming from someone who is in the process of quitting atm - you guys really need to adjust your perspective on living.

Yeah, I will try new things. But that doesn't mean that I have to try EVERYTHING in the world (Including smoking). Maybe it's just that you are a lot more curious than me, but what smoking feels like just doesn't interest me enough to want to try it. I just don't like to do things that could get you addicted. Heck, when most of my friends were playing WOW a year(?) back, I thought about it because it looked really fun, but said screw it, because I know stuff like that is addicting, but not really bad for you. I just hate getting hooked on things when it becomes more based on compulsion rather than fun. Plus, all the little things like how it is just one more thing to pay for and the fact that I would have to constantly try to hide it from my parents. Too much stuff to deal with. Life is a lot simpler with out cigs.

Plus, as a side thing, health is important to me in that I plan on majoring in Trumpet performance. If anything happens to my lungs, I'm basically screwed. (yeah, I know that a bunch of famous jazz trumpeters smoked, but they were pushing the envelope a bit.)

And on the topic of smokers in general, I don't really hate them. I just don't like when your talking and all of the sudden, they pull out a cigarette and start blowing it right in your face. These guys only make up a fraction of smokers, though. So, in general, I don't mind others smoking as long as they do it outside and alone or with other smokers.

My first girlfriend:

We both basically started hating each other (Boyfriend and girlfriend wise. Otherwhise, she's alright)

So, she was talking with some of my friends. She was planning on breaking up with me. When she came up to finish it. I got up and broke up with her. We hugged and said it's cool between us. She went back to my friends and asked how it went. When she told them that I finished it, they started cracking up.

Response to: am i to old to go tricker treating Posted September 18th, 2008 in General

The only people who shouldn't be tricker treating are those douche bags with no costumes who have their parents drive them.

You gotta walk for your candy, dang it! Back in the day, streets would be somewhat empty of cars on Halloween night. Now, everyone's driving around, making the environment less spooky, 'cause there's all those car lights. And to top it off, they don't even dress up. They're just greedy little bastards. >:V

But you should go ahead and go. Heck, you got a long ways to go before you're too old for that.

and then that very teacher turns the corner and says, "No it isn't..."

We're both out of his class now, though.
