Recently (past year or so) I have really started getting back into drawing, something I haven't done since I was a kid really.

I used a reference for both as I have trouble visualizing things such as lighting.

Along with drawing I just started trying to write as I have these ideas floating around in my head that I think would make for a pretty neat story.

One story I am working on is in a not too outlandish futuristic setting, revolving around a group of expendable soldiers tasked with assassinating some dude who might not be that bad.

Here are two random samples from what I have so far. Spelling errors aside how bad is it? What do I need to work most on?

"Elissa woke from her sleep, gasping desperately for a breath of air to fill her empty lungs. She coughed violently attempting to do so, getting to the point where her abdomen began to burn. The fit eventually resided, being able to breath again she sat up right, sweat covered her smooth tan skin, pooling in places. After her father passed away, it wasn't uncommon for Elissa to suffer from the occasional nightmare. Since her incarceration they had gotten worse, often her nightmares involved depictions of her parents, centering specific memories of them before she signed on to the Tactical Infantry. It always felt like a trap to her, often they would repeat themselves, ending in some tragic event that Elissa never was able to change. Elissa brushed aside her brown hair that was matted to her moist face, she looked around hoping that by some odd chance that she had dreampted everything up. It was disheartening still being surrounded by the thick, coarse concrete walls that made up her cell. She had been in a prisoner for sometime now, to Elissa it seemed like ages, although there really was no definitive way of determining how much time has passed since her incarceration. Her cell offered no clues, for the most part she was stuck in isolation. Which for Elissa, wasn't necessarily a bad thing as she liked to spend time alone, although she prefer that it wasn't done in this manor."

The recording started off with a drone of static, abruptly cutting off to a dark, yet soft spoken voiceover.

"I have done many questionable things... stained my hands with the blood of camrads." said the voice, taking several drawn out pauses. "Your leaders... without action, their words are empty, scattered to the winds..."

"Why don't you skip ahead." commented the General, continuing with his meal.

The officer placed his hand back over the black metal device.

"We will clense our lands. Our fleets rolling forth... planet after plant... system after system... annihilating them... incinerating them. And they say I'm the savage? They send men like me, so they can sleep at night, so they don't have to see what I have seen. What is it when savages accuse savages?" the voice continued, sounding tired and broken."

From left to right we have: The Caspian Border radio tower, Frank Forlan, exploding suitcase, the black guy from BF3, Sargent BlackBurn, Campo, Charles Wells-Cartier, Russian Frogfoot, Booker DeWitt, Doctor Quaid, that fat interrogator from BF3, next to him is Kid X-mas, next to him are the Letuces making out, above them is Nilin and to her left is a random russian from multiplayer right beneath Tommy in drag. I'm using Vista, I can't figure out why it gets so much hate. Win8 on the other hand is utter garbage, the updates implemented in 8 could have easily been released in a service pack for 7.

All the time, I like my pc to be nice and tidy. I don't even have a single icon on the desktop.

This is why I choose to stay single.

Twice baked potatoes, caress it in canola oil and pour on Johnson's salt seasoning (no MSG) cook for an hour, then cut off the top, scoop out the insides and place the top back inside the potatoe once it is carved out. Then add green onions, sharp tillamook chedder, slowly cooked/peppered bacon, sour cream, milk, sea salt, and some other minor seasoning. Slap it back in the potato and cook and 400 for 15mins. absolutely delicious.

Because it is hipster! But seriously, in some cases, especially with grants, you can only spend the money you receive on certain things. Such as the local boys and girls club here is restricted to using their grants and donations towards purchasing equipment and expanding their facilities. Although wasteful spending is a problem, especially at the college level, the schools can only spend money on certain items. Which 1) is stupid that such rules and regs exist and 2) is greedy because if the money isn't needed they should turn it down so maybe as school that is less fortunate could receive a grant or what have you for a change.

This. Unfortunately too many followers (myself included) of Christianity are guilty of what you just pointed out. Especially in western society, many don't want to be bothered with going out of their way to lend a helping hand; tending to stick with their congregation or stay within a comfortable home, keeping to their self. I know in my life I'am guilty of those things, and that is why I need God.

That is why I take pride in running my small channel, because I know my viewers and subscribers that I attract are more educated and intelligent then what you may find on larger channels.

I didn't bother to watch the video, my opinion though is you should be able to carry a firearm with you nearly everywhere as long as you take the necessary steps to protect yourself and more importantly protect others from any accidents or negligence on your part. How that would look as a law I couldn't tell you.

Here is what pisses me off the most about schools, besides the terrible curriculum and system they have set up. First off the over react to the stupid stuff that shouldn't even be an issue. I remember back in elementary school in computer class, one of my friends set a desktop background on one of the computers that had some negative things to say about the principle, nothing violent mind you. Turns out the staff interpreted it as a death threat, getting the police involved to find out who posted it. More recently in HS my sister's friend was being bullied by one of the football jocks, my understanding was that this was going on for a while and nothing had been done about it. Eventually in pottery class my sister stood up to this guy, giving him a bloody nose. Even the teacher that saw it was approving of my sister's actions. But the administration suspended her for a week, after the bully ran down too the office. I understand bullying is a part of life and people should learn to deal with it, but a school has the responsibility to create a safe environment and should do what it can to prevent bullying. Often times schools just don't give a shit.

Secondly, when it comes to the safety of students it is only after a tragic event like VT or Sandy Ridge that the schools take "measures" to protect the kids from any sort of harm. If the schools really cared they would be proactive, they would set up actual prevention systems ahead of time. And even after said events the most schools seem willing to do about protecting their students is locking their doors and hiring a district wide recourse officer. Neither of those helped prevent Sandy Ridge. Recently at the Highschool I work at, we had a gunman in the student parking lot. What was the school's reaction? We went into lock down, gathering all the students into the areas where it would be easy for a gunman to inflict much harm if he wanted. Of course I was in the kitchen which has so many open doors it is impossible to lock it all down. Since the recourse officer was across town we had to wait fifteen mins for the police to arrive. TUrns out it was just a drug dealer intimidating a student into paying up. They very least a school could do is have a security gaurd on campus at all times. And don't give me that "they can't afford is bullshit", cause the damn well can if they didn't pay the administrators and teachers so much or spend soo much on technology. There is no reason why a school needs an xbox kenect for the PE class or all these ridiculous smart boards, which half the teachers don't even use cause they are too handicap to figure out how to use them. Don't even get me started on food waste and how the taxpayers and school district has been raped by the private food management corporations that come in to feed the students. There should be no excuse why pig intestines consistently end up in our JTM frozen shredded pork mixture.

If tablets are the future I want to part of that reality. It would say it is completely beyond me why most westerners would uses such horrible and regressive devises, but then again the majority of the human population is just that dumb. There is no reason why kids should be using their smartphones/tablets while in class or for work purposes. Bizznizz men always say it is great cause I can schedule appointments on it, yeah ever heard of something called a calender? Absolutely ridiculous.

Although I'm not a fan I suppose not all county is bad, but then again I haven't really been exposed to true country music. Unfortunately the country I'm stuck listening too at work is all the popular contemporary crap. which I have grown to despise with a passion. We have come to the point where Rap, Country and Pop really all don't sound all that different from each other. The music industry has really become oversaturated and domesticated.
