Well I bought the shoes the other day, I stuck with Adio's suggestion because I dug the colors and they were in my price range.

Joe I really dig those green and gold striped shoes but they are waaaay out of my price range ($140 w/o shipping).

So Adio wins this round! I'll probably do it again once I destroy this pair, so they'll be more free art in the future.

Adio, you need to PM me your address so I can send you art!

I really disliked the first LP, you walked at the speed of paste and it was way to easy to get ganged up on and die. Probably won't even play the sequel.

I really don't like calling non-digital art "traditional art". That phrase alone to me feels like it makes digital art out to not be a legit/respectable form of art. And non-digital art is more common on this site than you make it out, it's just that there are many more GOOD digital artists than there are GOOD non-digital artists. So naturally the majority is what gets notices more, it's not a bad thing at all.

I think I've maybe only done 4 or 5 digital pieces in my entire life, technology confuses me :P

Practically everything I've ever uploaded to my art thread has been non-digital, it's just my personal preference. I don't feel one was or another about digital art vs. non-digital, I actually really would like to learn how to paint on my computer. I've just taught myself how to paint non-digitally so it's what I'm comfortable with.

Yeah that one kid is definitely tracing, but unless we can find sources the only only thing we can really do is keep him unscouted.

I had something like that happen before, I had like 10 kills so far and no deaths, and no one knew I was up there. Than one of my team mates came up into the tower with me and started trying to shoot airplanes out the sky with a rocket launcher. The dumb fuck basically gave it away that we were up there and he ended up shooting the wall in front of him, blowing up all of the cover.

Needless to say I was a little dicked off.

I looked through most of your work earlier today, really awesome stuff. It's great to see new artists that have quality work who aren't thieves or impersonators :)

You should check out the Art Forum, where all things artsy fartsy go down.

Actually every now and than me and some friends like to get really big boards of wood and just post up somewhere public and do some live painting. It's a lot of fun to do and you meet a lot of cool people :)

Response to: ranaenae's a bitch Posted August 14th, 2009 in General

She asked you to post a sprite sheet because you were doing a lot of talking but not showing a lot of work. You had posted a few EXTREMELY rough sketches, but nothing that actually had shown that you were working on the games. Nae wants you to wait until you have a full sprite sheet because she wants to make sure that you are really serious about getting this project done and not just wasting the artists time.

Nae didn't ask anything unreasonable from you, and it's a perfectly legit reason to put your call for artists on hold. You may get halfway through the project and decide "Fuck this i'm doing something else" and have wasted all of the artists time.

It's also important to get this done and show it is so that the users who have agreed to help you or are thinking of helping you have a clear picture of the quality of work YOU are putting forth into this game. If the game is looking like shit than no artist is going to want to spend time to make a good piece for you.

Stop being so butthurt and just man up and get it done.

The Art Portal is still very new and is going to have some flaws, from the sounds of things it just sounds like he's just been scouted than unscouted multiple times. If he didn't receive a PM saying so I'd just chalk it up to a glitch in the system.

Just got back from seeing this, and my god was it amazing. It was easily the best original movie I've seen in a long time. And probably the first one I've seen in a long time that met every expectation and didn't disappoint at all. Everyone needs to go see this, it's easily the best modern work of sci-fi i've seen in awhile.
