Another thingy.
Stream's done. Thanks for those who stopped by.
As always, again and again, feel free to drop in chill and/or chat!
I personally hate it when I sketch something and don't remember doing it.
While your work does show charm, it unfortunately lacks any proof of strong craftsmanship.
I suggest for you to buckle down and start digging into some basic fundamentals.
Humans make a lot of mistakes in their lives. Artists have to accept that they'll more more than the usual.
When learning artists get obsessive in "increasing their accuracy" they constantly just think about proportions when looking at another image. They may end up thinking about copying straight up.
Personally, I find nothing wrong with that.
Why? Because it helps you identify faster what's wrong when you draw freehand. This is why studies are done and that is what you are exactly doing.
You are dropping lines down on paper while trying different approaches, this is very commendable and encouraged.
My opinion is to drop the ruler when drawing but keep it handy for checking and use it less as you practice more.
I can suggest reading Andrew Loomis to help you break away from drawing orthographically.
As you continue drawing you may find that accuracy takes the backseat once you discover the appeal of personal expression and adaptation.
And stream is down. Thanks folks for stopping by. Feel free to hop into BazookaBonsai's stream.
Feel free to take a peek at what I'm doing, chill, chat or all of the above!
For a few seconds at first I was thinking it to be a spaceship until I realized what it really was.
Perhaps if it were to take a more familiar symbolic shape. A feeling that you can fit a head in there.

I've set the timer for every 2 minutes. At first I was really trying to draw the figures. With little time I switched to sticking to more shapes than actual outlines and that seemed to help.
Finding the line of action helps a lot especially when it comes to dynamic poses. This single line is pretty much the generalization of energy and motion within a pose. It is also in step forward in understanding how we can represent gravity and how the body naturally balances itself.

If continue on the journey to draw you'll find that everyone has opinions on how things should be learned. One way of learning has it's advantages but you may find that another has something that the other lacks. Ultimately you have to find what fits you.
You can study from pictures. You can also study objects in real life. You can see how those objects look in different types of lighting. You can even use a mirror and look at yourself. (I don't recommend taking selfies but I'm not one to judge if you like that kind of thing.)
Those are some options available to you and much more to be discovered.
The basic idea for any form of study is to use your eyes and observe, and "jot down" the most memorable things you see.
You can try this site.
There you can select your desired type of models and time limit to help you practice.
Remember, the goal at first is to understand the limitations of the human body. Generalize the figure into basic shapes and/or lines.
Do not attempt to create a pretty picture.
You've developed a great deal since first reading your "Airplane" comic.
You clearly know how to show professionalism not only in your work but also in how you behave.
I hope the industry welcomes you with open arms.
Perhaps it would be better for you to actually upload the sketch?
Good morning/afternoon.
First stream of the new year. Feel free to drop by to take a peek, chat and chill.

That sounds fair enough.
But this better not be a one time thing. If you wish to treat her like a professional then please hire her for more projects, or suggest her to other people if they need someone with her skillset.
A partnership with a reliable friend is great, but when money is involved things instantly get uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, I see no reason for her to charge you in this scenario if the work was not specifically made for your animation.
It really is up to you to decide on how she should be compensated.
Personally, I think you should consider offering other things:
A game from their steam wishlist, premium membership for a website they post their work on, offering help on their projects.
These acts are more personal and can create a stronger partnership.
You have a good idea on how to create a sense of movement and seem to have a fair understanding of how to use it in a composition.
However this appears to be a double edge sword as you're too eager to show it, especially when the figure isn't in motion.
Try to decide where you can be more subtle and where you really can show tension.
Figured to get this done before the new year rolls along.
@CypressDahlia : Thanks man. I like to take ambitious approaches as it's a sure way to help me identify quickly what I'm lacking. I have to strongly agree with showing versatility being a big plus for those wanting to work in the industry.
@Sockembop : I can no longer pursue art, as the greatest image of all time has been created... Farewell, Earth.
And it's down. Thanks to those who dropped by. Take care!
Good morning/afternoon!
Hope your Holidays have been good so far.
As always feel free to chill, chat, and watch me draw.
