else
{
clearInterval (fade_interval);

var fade_interval = setInterval (fade, 100);

Will that code show overlapping symbols? like if you have 5 layers in a graphic and you alpha it.

No you flash baby. You can't ease with a slider in fbf now can you. Easing is the slowing of movement as according to the momentum of the movement. Like punching into a pillow, your hand will sink in and slow as the momentum goes away. But like Noodle said, if you do decide to tween, there is an in and out function which will either make it slow in the beginning and fast in the end or fast in the beginning and slow in the end.

You woke my interest about it ;) and now you have to tell me :p
When you make a tween, click on the frame, and look at the properties and you'll see a little slider thing with ease next to it. Move it up an down. its like cushioning in traditional terms..

If I make a movie or a clip or something, and I use FBF, how exactly does it work? Do I have the draw the whole guy again and again in each frame? If yes, how is it possible that my characters always have the same height and dont look completely different in each frame?

Right now, I imagine it as quite hard to draw the character new in every frame and have him looking exactly right as in the frame before, except the small movement he made.
Use Onion skinning. you see the little button at the bottom of the time line with 2 small purple squares? That is your friend, it will show you an alpha version of the previous or next frame(s) so you can see what exactly you need to do.

A good way to animate with FBF I find is draw the main points in the animation first, then put a keyframe between the main points, with onion skinning on, and draw an "inbetween". repeat this until the animation is as smooth as you want it to be.

Hope I explained that right...

This technique usually requires the animator to know about easing, which I doubt he knows. You should use a straight forward method where you just animate frame for frame and make look as smooth as possible without retracing steps or frames. Otherwise you'll get bored and probably never finish anything. Don't plan out unless you're planning on spending lots of time of something. Planning will probably whittle down your attention span anyways, assuming you're not very old.

The only way to truly get every figure to look the same is practice. But the most useful tool you'll ever find for fbf in Flash is called Onion skinning. This tool allows you to see the previous of after frames (in an alpha'd layer). You can set how many frames back or forward you want to show using the slider.

One way of doing things is called Keyframing. Where you manipulate frames without necessarily drawing each frame over and over like in FBF. What you can do, it insert a keyframe and move the layers in each frame. Whenever something needs to change, you can just insert a blank keyframe and redraw it. Over time, you'll know what needs changing, what you can move around without having to draw every frame over and over. I don't actually prefer this to fbf, because the movement never truly looks fluid, similar to tweening, but you can get away with alot more without hassling with millions of layers and tweens. Good luck, hope that made some sense.

The voice actors aren't really voice actors around here. They're more like voices. I had someone do a script for me and they even read the typo's. Then everything went drak. I don't think that make much sense, no matter what context it's put under. I wouldn't recommend the voice "actors", but sometimes it's the only people you've got available.

Television
I never really loved it, but nowadays it just gets left behind on my schedule. All the good shows, as more accessible now, then ever before on the internet. Somehow I feel as though the computer just takes more time, and gives me more space to choose what to watch and when to watch it. TV constricts itself over your schedule and if you want to watch something you have to make time for it at a specific time in your day. Maybe if it were more flexible, I guess that's why they made T-vo or whatever. The internet is still better.

Though it may be offensive to some, if you believe in your religion to can apply punishments said in you "guide" to whomever made fun of your religion.

Same goes for this, the way you do it can change the outcome severely

Everyone is racist deep inside.

16. Suicide

If you can make someone contemplating death laugh at a suicide joke, I can guarantee you they won't kill themselves

17. Emotional Disorders

It's funny if you do it the right way

18. Pregnancy

Sure, pregnant women look funny already anyways

19. Gender (ie: women>men or vice versa)

You have to remember that Newgrounds is mostly made up of 12-16 year old pubeless idiots. However, I do enjoy seeing a penicorn every now and then, it reminds me of where I am. Newgrounds is a place where you can do almost anything without being castrated for it. Any other community site would shun you for expressing yourself. I dare you to post a drawing of a penis on Deviant Art, or Sheezy, or even MySpace without getting a kick in the crotch from the moderators. I've always loved NG because of the fact that almost anything goes (except for the really stupid shit, that is just annoying, like flaming or spam). Anyways, guess with me still being a child I really can't have an opinion on other kids. I do say, most kids my age are retarded though, including me sometimes. Must be cause we mastubate so damn much.. well I do atleast.

Because you say so? Black's not a colour, neither is white.

Its not because I say so, its proven fact. Scientist actually sent all the colors from a prism into another prism and it created black. Black is not a color in terms of light, in terms of pigment it IS a color. I don't understand why some of you post without finding information, you just base your answers on past knowledge.

Perception is flawed.
Therefore, your argument is flawed.

I understand you to be thinking in terms of pigment, which was what I originally argued for. But because your own argument is based on light variation it can't be based on pigment. Though it terms of mingling light and reflection, the colors would be overlapping. In terms that you flash geeks would understand, a black, with an alpha'ed white on top of. The black under is still black.

Even though you may not be able to perceive it, you shouldn't let ignorance water down your ideas. A giraffe can see 50 feet far, and a bee is colorblind. But the definition of color stays the same through ideas, not perception.

Alright, I was the so-called friend he argued with, and I've come up with a theory on the shades of black. What I did was consider what goes into black, and what could vary the shade. Since I was considering black as the absence of color, I got thrown off. The absence of color is actually white. Black is the conglomerate of all colors. So to keep you "it's gray" people satisfied, it IS gray if a color is missing. But if you take in consideration to it's components and how often its components can vary, than it can help as a truth that these variation are indeed different shades of black. So consider, all the colors in the universe together, this is black. Now if one color varies in amount, the definition is the same. There is still the presence of all the colors, but the difference in amount can make for a completely different shade of the same color. So, sorry if my words are a bit err but I put some thought into my answer and I hope it convinces you. Most people would say, consider a t shirt fading. A t shirt fading is an example of saturation and this saturation makes a gray. That's where the deep belief that black cannot have a shade comes from. So take what I said into consideration please. Don't just believe it, but listen to the facts and come up with your own conclusion.

My two cents.

Yay, first comment, and yes it will not run at the full 60 fps, every single second of the game, but it varies throughout. Dish Decorations O_O

I went to a buffet and found myself thinking of designs for the food. Not only that but I thought of how the placing would result in me getting done faster. From what I could stuff inside myself, and the many plates of food I got, all of them seemed to coordinate with each other seemingly like a piece of art would. My favorite design was watermelon, with honey dew on top, and some slices of apricot on the top. It was kinda like a rainbow of nectar and awesomeness. I also made some nice designs with some sushi and soy sauce, with some ginger and wasabi for contrast. Does anyone else do design work outside of the general media, most of us delve in?
