Looks like a ermmm 'big (not big but, more???' step from Ignite to Cubase, I have just looked at some of the features on Ignite and it looks really cool and very user friendly...
I would advise, if you go the Cubase route.... look up some tutorials and get to know what each button does and how to use it (Many on Youtube)....
I won't say a lot because I have never tried Ignite, but I find Cubase very friendly for myself compared to some other DAWS I have used...
I mainly find Cubase fantastic when working with Midi.... Very interesting with composing midi...
I use Cubase 5.... Used Cubase 6, would upgrade if I had the money...

You know, its 5am... I have been playing Minecraft on the PC (lan) for around 7 hours.. xD
My hands hurt :(
I would prefer to plug a xbox controller into my PC...
I just have been brought up around Minecraft on PC so when it came out on xbox, I had to get use to it (which I still need to)...
I prefer PC just because I find it easier and me or my friend don't have xbox so we can't splitscreen on that...
My dad was a roofer and knew a lot about it... (Never knew there was a lot to know about it..)
My dream job is to be a Music Teacher... :( Got a long while to be close to that
Check out Guthrie Govan.... Wow, such a great guitarist...
And also maybe check out the trio 'The Aristrocrats' he is in.... Made me and my friend not give up playing guitar...
After a free project (Kontakt Library with someone ;) ) (should be finished soon) I am planning on doing a few free projects (Libraries) to give out to the kind people on Soundcloud and on here....
Although, I really wanted for some people to give suggestions on things to create...
I already planned 1 product which has 3 categories with a medium amount of patches .. (Melodic, Bass and Pads... as from here, you can guess the free project will be customized patches of synths which I am working on)... I will demo them to give you a chance to see if you would find them useful...
I really have quite a bit of time on my hand and wanted to do some more free products that will actually (hopefully!) be worth using....
So... Any suggestions?
Although, because these projects will be free, I will try my best to keep a limit to my spendings... So I won't be able to record a full orchestra xD(joking.....I would not plan to any way...)
I am interested in creating any library with sounds... Individ. Instruments.... Bundles (Loops, Percussive Loops), Percussive Libraries, Sound Design Libraries... blah blah blah... etc....

What's the requirement in order to be able to play trombone?
It is never too late to learn to do anything, seriously if you get a trombone, go on the Internet/Youtube, depending on how good you want to get (How much time you also put in learning it)... I would seriously say, go for it...
I don't play trombone, but I had a go of a friends for a couple of hours and I really enjoyed it, I just tried to make weird noises... haha

Yeah, everything...
'my shit should b getting thousands of views like others on here while there good they not as good as me is it something I'm doing wrong'....
Sounds a bit big headed, yes you should like/appreciate your own music, but never say 'they not as good as me'.... Totally disrespectful from my point of view...
I would advise going around Youtube, SoundCloud, Stage32, Bandcamp, Reverb Nation and check out other people, make some friends, ask the guys to check out your music (but listen to his/hers first...)... Try Collabing with others with a few more views then you and it might attract their fans....
Interesting...
This is what I personally would use in a 'Halloween' type composition as FX (Not instruments, although I would defo use a piano myself)... xD :
High Cymbal spires/bowed cymbals (if you decrease the volume and put it behind the score itself, it can be a good outcome).. or screeching FX, not too loud...
Maybe a small amount of groans (Or some unusual voice effect) - Might be a bit to much for Halloween unless you are going for a very horror type Halloween composition...
There is a little something I would do myself....
There are also some instruments like... Filter Pianos? They sound cool to use... Or even a out-of-tune piano with a girl singing softly (more like a Horror, but I personally find Halloween a bit freaky... (ooo, Freaky music.. xD)
How about a mild drone? That Horrible pad type sort of drone.... You never know...
Ermmm.... There is a very small amount of ideas... or just suggestions
lolololol... need a haircut... been dead for the past 4 months (only been out 2-3 times due to a project)
Look at that little faggot
(I am tired... need a shave.. and haircut..... :( )

So I was wondering if you gents had any other avenues to spread the word or advice you could offer. Maybe stuff that has worked out for you and even the stuff that hasn't, it would all be food for thought!
I found Soundcloud my best friend....
I have literally met so many people through it while commenting on random peoples compositions that I like...
I started out on it, and I was wondering how the hell do I get myself out there? (Which I am still trying to do with my Company xD)
But I personally think its not all about 'you' or getting out there... If you want more attention, then go comment on peoples things, promote yourself through the comments but don't be an asshole and Copy+Paste everything...
When I comment on someones sound on SoundCloud... I say what I like about it, what works, what doesn't work, what they could do better, why,,, how,,,, and then ask them kindly to check out my works.... I have only been doing it for a couple of months but I gained a couple of follows on Soundcloud by interacting more with other people, instead of just waiting for it to all come to me...
Try to talk to a lot of people (I started learning to Orchestrate through a friend I met on SoundCloud and over the past 2 years, we have became very close and he is like a teacher to me xD)
I would literally just advise you to (if you want to hear it above xD) listen/check out as many people on Newgrounds/Soundcloud/Youtube/Stage 32/ BandCamp/ Forums like KVR, IV forum, GearSlutz(I met a composer on there that taught me a few tricks) and any other site you can get hold of...
Although on these websites you can find tons of people to get advice from, learn new things, and a lot more (Not just ask them to check out your compositions).... Keep at it, and in a while you will notice something

Urgggg.....
Mixcraft is brilliant for starting out as well... I started out on it myself and I found it so easy to use....
There is also a way to get past the 30day trial which is very, very easy... It functions exactly like the full version, just you don't have to pay.... (Whoooops....)
Basically, it is a brilliant demo to try out to see if you like it...

You are not allowed to upload others music on your Newgrounds account, please take it off the avoid any hassle... You also stated that you uploaded 'this', assuming you tried to post a link to advertise the music which is not yours, you are not allowed to post songs in the forum...
You should only post songs in the 'Advertisement Thread'.... But I would recommend not doing so because you have uploaded the song which appears to not be yours.... Please take it down.. :(

I would assume they could be thinking about it, it would make sense because they have a choir bundle, and String Bundle, although with the time they are putting into 8W, there might not be any 8W+Choir bundle... Or if there is, it is going to be a heck load of money...
Maybe they have products planned for the future like 8Dio Brass or 8DIo Woodwinds... Maybe the Full Orchestra bundle would be all that + Adaigo Strings... (But again, how much would that cost?? :( )

8Dio Hybrid Tools must of been one of the first libraries I encountered from 8Dio so I decided to check them out more often and started buying more products, really awesome library to have + Requiem

I would be happy with 3 mic positions xD
They said silver will be 2 and black edition will be all 8...
Maybe Black edition is like platinum edition so there might be a Gold edition released with 4 mic positions (who knows?)

Exactly what I was thinking, something this big has to have some kind of delay... Something has to go 'wrong' sooner or later :(

Yeah, he mentioned it being a 'VST'?? Do you think he actually means a VST not another library?
Also do you mean, if he means he is using a VST, you mean that Kontakt might be meaning to team up with 8Dio to make a awesome VST that he said? <- o_O
About the reverb, good idea... it most probably slaughtered it for a reason for the Full version to sound outstanding once it comes out..
At 10/8/13 02:23 PM, Blackhole12 wrote: Is it just me or do those demos have way too much reverb?
No its not you, I was not very impressed with that.. I think that might be how the samples are so that would be a big downfall if the samples were like this.. :(
Damn, just remembered seeing it.... IT IS ALSO A VST... How will that handle up? :(
At 10/8/13 12:17 PM, PeterSatera wrote: Ive not said much at this point, and havent posted here about it as it's not got any demos.
WELL SIR!!! -----> 8W Demo's
I like alot of their stuff, but yeah i also read it's private initially. That's fine, if its worth it, they'll release it. *dio arent daft, they'll want to make money.
Of course! It is just a matter of waiting for it to come out which bugs me :(

I would personally choose this over EW CC2 anyday...
According to the fan page on facebook there is some sort of exclusive thing for people who have bought $2,000+ worth of 8dio products.
LOL, I have like £200 worth of stuff so I am a bit behind :(
:have they given a date yet for its launch?
I don't think so but I want to guess and say next July?
WHO IS EXCITED?
To this day, this library will be the largest 'epic' orchestra to be sampled...
"The library, recorded in one of the greatest symphony halls in the world in 96kHz and using 8 microphone positions, contains 240 players across 100 strings, 60 brasses, 20 percussionists and 60 woodwinds."
100 Strings?!?!?
60 Brasses?!?!
60 Woodwinds.... (o_O)
20 Percussionists (Hmmm... if they have pulled it off (Which I am trusting they have!))
(And more as they said in the future recording)
So it includes Hybrid sound design and Synth ensembles...
8 mic positions for the black edition but 2 for silver edition
"8W will be published exclusively through V8P".... Ok I heard a rumor ages ago you have to sign up to buy this library... and well.... How much is it do you think? I have not seen a price yet be could any one imagine the price?
What do you think of having a selection of over 240 players in the Orchestra at your fingertips?
The compositions I have heard so far have so what impressed me with the sound, it will get me away from just using EW all the time... If this is less than £1,000... I am going to wait because 8Dio always puts on great deals... Maybe they will do a half price for the silver edition?
I have not really heard anyone talk about it around here so I wanted to get some more information and opinions... :)
