death should be a sentence.

The question is about corporal punishment not capital. And not a rant on wether immigrants are causing crime.

Quick question: can you guys go hunting (with rifles of course)?

No. You can get a shotgun but thats about it as far as I know. Air rifles are fine so long as you can prove you need one, but I cant see hunting much more than vermin with that.

Response to: Corporal Punishment & Violent Crime Posted February 3rd, 2008 in Politics

Shoulda posted that im from the UK. No gun rights.

Im basically asking the question what do you think of victim administered corporal punishment as a judicial device?

Corporal Punishment & Violent Crime Posted February 3rd, 2008 in Politics

Im sick of seeing these shows that highlight how callous attackers can be. You must know the kind; grainy CCTV pictures that still dont disguise the violence behind attacks.

I know that all the hippies would be wailing about human rights and the like, but these criminals ont give a fuck about human rights.

In instances where violent offenders inflict serious wounds on innocents, like in muggings and assaults, what do you think of their punishment being restrained and their victim allowed to retaliate?

I suppose its the same principal behind capital punishment (ie an eye for an eye) but less extreme. Anyway, thoughts / opinions?

Response to: Left or Right??? Posted January 31st, 2008 in Politics

Fair enough to what you said, but it just doesnt work like that.

Asking people to remain completely tolerant of others beliefs / views means asking them to keep a cool head about something they feel strongly about.

People get passionate and sooner or later the insults will fly.

Response to: Flash and stop motion. Posted January 22nd, 2008 in Game Development

I was just going to use my digi camera. In that case can anyone reccomend a stop animation program?

Flash and stop motion. Posted January 22nd, 2008 in Game Development

The stop motion vid on the front page at the mo prompted me to get my arse back in gear and revive my stop motion.

Question is how. Should each frame be imported into flash, or should the video be made in another program, exported and converted to a swf?

Cheers guys.

Enforce this way of doing things and you have an uprising on your hands. Thats quite shitty treatment by comparison to how things are these days. People would overthrow any government that tried it.

Response to: Section 8 Posted January 15th, 2008 in Politics

Sorry for the double post, but

housing)#Summary_of_the_program

In addition, landlords, though required to meet fair housing laws, are not required to participate in the Section 8 program.

So why are you?

Thats the millitary definition of section 8. The more appropriate one here is :

"The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a type of Federal assistance provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) dedicated to sponsoring subsidized housing for low-income families and individuals. It is more commonly known as Section 8, the reference to the portion of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937 under which the original subsidy program was authorized."

But animals and plants have no concept of a utopia, and there arent any humans left to say "yeah thats a utopia" so its still not.

Cram it, fuck.

Its a valid point. So long as there is more than one religion, there will always be a minority who just cant get along. Calls of my religion > your religion get out of hand and conflict abounds.

Same with politics.

Response to: UN/Nato ineffective? Posted January 12th, 2008 in Politics

The larger the committee, the less gets done. Plus no one wants to seem gung ho in the age where the news cameras are always on the action. If UN/NATO sent in troops in an agressive manner, sure shootin youd have some analyst on the evening news criticising the move.

Bad press tends to undermine legitimacy.

And it sucks to be anyone who watches American made shows. Lets be honest, most of the things people watch in other countries comes from the US. Without their shows being completed, we're all doomed to more dumb as shit "reality" tv shows and reruns.

Deep joy.
Response to: Distrust most/all politicians? Posted January 12th, 2008 in Politics

Thats more of a distrust in the system rather than any one politician.

Response to: Distrust most/all politicians? Posted January 11th, 2008 in Politics

Welcome to the world we live in. Its a land of cover-your-own-arseness and bureaucracy. No matter how many good intentions politicians have, they are inevitably bogged down further in pandering to those likely to keep them in power.

Vicious cycle. Cant do anything good if youre not in power. cant be in power unless you cater to the majority, who dont always agree with your good intentions.

Response to: Meaning to Life? Posted January 11th, 2008 in Politics

There isnt a meaning. Life just is.

If you mean a purpose, well that would be a more sensible question. Still, I dont reckon theres one of them either. Do you reckon any other living creature stresses itself out because it cant find a reason d'etre?

Negative!

Live your life for now. Dont be so emo about it neither.

Response to: Voice Actor Wanted Posted January 2nd, 2008 in Audio

I need 2 voices for an upcoming 40k flash. Looking for submissions before the 10th.

Voice 1 - Standard voice over style speech. Dramatic, possibly quite deep voice.

"One Five Eight M Forty-one saw the war in the Gothic sector abate long enough for the Imperium to dispatch explorator fleets."

Voice 2 - Early to mid 30s male voice to play a Medic. Accent unimportant.

"No time to take him back to the lines. Looks like a concussion. Gimmie the stimms."

PM me or email at random_hero86@hotmail.com

Cheers for the feedback, SprintT. Not sure what you mean though. For those of us completely new to writing, how do you mean "dry".

How can I make my writings more moist?

OK, this is now becoming a flash animation. The last one was abandoned because I realised my killer storyline was a complete rip of a Gaunts Ghosts novel. Ive still got the pre drawn graphics from my abandoned flash, so its feasible that this could be done swiftly. I would ask the guys over at 40kfourms to help out since they know the material, but the sites down.

I need someone to do a voice for Lyesir, the medic.

Much appreciated guys.

Response to: Merry Christmas Posted December 5th, 2007 in Politics

All Im going to say on the subject is that I will point blank refuse to use either of the phrases "Happy holidays" or "seasons greetings".

Point being a massive percentage of the non religious population wake up on the 25th of December and open gifts they found under their tree.

Whilest it may not be the true definition of Christmas, its what theyre celebrating.

OI, PC brigade. Whats the 25th of December?
Why Christmas of course.
Then Merry Fucking Christmas.

Shameless plug, but this is my return to warhammer after a prolonged absence due to airsoft. Any reviews either here or there are much appreciated. Just wondering if this story is worth continuing.

On the subject of the actual game, Ive been making a salamander scout from a basilisk chassis and plasticard.

Anyone else got projects on the go?

Response to: Database In C Is Killing Me! Posted December 3rd, 2007 in Programming

Thanks to all you guys that gave me tips throughout. In the end I scrapped the entire program and recoded a linked list in about 4 hours. It didnt work right, but it got me a pass.

I dont think anyone can argue with the decision to remove him. Thats a rediculous abuse of power. The justice system doesnt run on chastising other people for a person's mistakes.
