I don't ever expect to be quitting my day job to make independent flash games, so there is still a bit of creative/artistic pleasure I get from doing my own stuff.
heh, isnt your day job making corporate flash games? :P
Yeah, that's why I said "independent flash games" :-P
On a similar topic... Im releasing a game soon, found a sponsor and all that... The only thing is, she wants a small logo for the website on the HUD... This is something I am pretty against, and although they have made a good offer for the game, I feel its taking the advertising too far. Ads scattered all over a game can make it look tacky and ruin the experience, and I really dont want to do that.
What do you guys suggest? whats a good way of saying "no I dont want to do this" while still sounding friendly and keeping the sponsorship deal?Anyone been in a similar situation?
Yeah, as mentioned above, tell them politely you're against it, and if they insist, quote them something ridiculous on top of their normal price to do it.
