Meat boy comic contest #2. Show us your Meat!

This weeks comic will go to the 3 most creative art submissions that involve Meat Boy. Any medium will do just reply to our twitter postwith a link to your submission and you're in. This time we are giving you 5 days and will be giving away 3 comics so you have a better chance at winning.

So again, if you want in on the contest simply make something involving meat boy, post it online (preferably newgrounds.coms art portal) and reply to our twitter post with a link to it, you have till Friday the 6th.

Also those of you who dont know, the comics we are giving out are the same ones that were on sale in the NG store a few weeks ago that sold out. this will be one of the only ways to aquire one of the last few limited edition comics.

ART CONTEST: Wacom Nude Portrait Contest!

I recently got a new wacom and want to give my previous tablet a new home, i thought what better way to give one away then making a contest where people draw me nude to win it!?

WHAT TO DO:
Draw me nude.

I dont care what you use, or how you make me look. just draw a picture of what you think id look like nude, best drawing gets my personal standard Wacom Intous 3 Graphics Tablet.

THE RULES:
1. The picture must be of me, and i must be nude in it
2. No one else can be in the picture.
3. Humor is awarded above technical skill.. this is for a wacom tablet so i encourage all you mouse wielding maniacs to bust something out and win this thing.

DEADLINE:
Entries must be posted by 11:59pm on March 18th.

PRIZES:
1st Place: My Personal (aka used) standard Wacom Intous 3 Graphics Tablet, and a signed copy of my CD, This is a Cry for Help.
2nd Place: A signed copy of my CD.
3rd Place: An unsigned copy of my CD

Officially:
-Super Meat Boy will come out on Wiiware and PC before 2010

-The PC release will initially be digital, but i will be releasing a special indie edition in the same way i released my TIACFH cd.

-We might do a retail release for PC/Mac after its Wiiware release, but thats not set in stone.

-SMB will feature a VS mode where the players can interact, and the person in the lead will control the scroll of the level.

-SMB will feature 100+ levels not featured in the flash version.

-None of the art/programming/endings of the flash version will be featured in the Wiiware version, SMB will be remade from the ground up with all the bells and whistles you would expect from any "good" wiiware title.

-SMB will feature boss fights

-We hope to release a level editor, for the wii version but again thats not set in stone.

sadly grey matter came out a week after the cds were printed... next year once i sell these ill do another updated version with new content and other "lost" games and comics that ive recently found around my house :)

So after 4 long years my very first flash game,Cereus Peashy (pronounced Pea - Shy), is finished .

The Peashy game idea started a little over 4 years back when Tom was just finishing up the flash version of Alien Hominid with Dan. Tom and I had talked about doing a game together and Peashy seemed like the best one to start on. About halfway though development Tom got a consol deal with Alien Hominid and could no longer work on Peashy. Around the same time I had gotten a job with a company called Chronic Logic as an artist and pitched a game idea to them that would later be known as Gish.

As Gish and Alien Hominid were in development I put Peashy on hold and started spending my extra time working on smaller flash games with Rift (Clubby and Weltling), these games would all be tied together in a series I'd eventually call The Badlands.

But Peashy remained stuck in its half finished state.

As Gish's development was coming to a close, Rift and I started playing with the idea of him taking over where Tom left off . Within no time Rift had sent me his take on Tom's build, with his own programming. I was very impressed, but the art and animation was just so out of date.

So the revamp began. Me and Rift set out to finish Peashy but tossed all the old art, story, and even game play for a fresh new start. We worked on Peashy on and off, sometimes taking graphics from it to make more small flash games, Weltling 2 and Dumpling. By the end of 2004 it seemed like we had hit a wall and Peashy was turning into the game that would never be finished.

It wasn't till late 2005 that I decided that the only way I'd be able to get back into working on it would be to totally redo the graphics again and for a good part of 2006 that's what I did.

After 4+ years, 2 programmers, and 3 complete revamps this kick ass cactus finally sees the light of day.

I hope the time we spent on it wasn't in vain, and I hope you all will take a little time out of your day to enjoy the bloody mayhem that is CEREUS PEASHY!
