Audio Portal: allow longer track titles, 40 characters at least. Long titles could be truncated with ... to fit the audio portal layout, but there's plenty of room to fit the full title on the track's page.

My reasoning for this is that song titles in music exceed 30 characters fairly often. For a few artists and obsessed fans, it's discouraging to see song names spelled wrong. It would also be handy to allow more room for things like naming remixes correctly with who remixed it. I know not everyone feels the same way, but to me, someone spelling the title of one of my songs wrong is just as bad as someone spelling my name wrong, if not worse!

To be fair, that's a little on the silly side. Or at least it's obvious what to shorten it to, just remove the part in brackets. A better example might be a song from a semi-well known band I listen to. They have a song called Nude Disintegrating Parachutist Woman. Sure it's silly, but in a different way. The title would be much worse for wear if shortened.

Definitely. Truncating the title with dots would be the nicest solution there. The full title could still be displayed on the song's page.

Because it doesn't have any nickname I can shorten it to. Anything I try just looks more hideous than it's worth. If my music was primarily for submitting to Newgrounds, I might handle it differently.

How many of you find yourselves restricted by the 30 character title limit on audio submissions? I'd estimate the songs out there with longer titles are probably a mere 1% of the lot, but for my songs the percentage is much higher, maybe 15-20%. It's just frustrating to come back to my old friend Audio Portal with a song I want to submit, rediscover the title limit, and decide I don't want to submit it any more. :P For now I'll just have to dive in and enjoy someone else's music instead.

It's a PC/Video game series that's been around since 1995. There's at least 10 different games in the series, it's come a long way! The main worms games are turn-based strategy, inspired by old games like QBasic Gorillas and Scorched Earth.

Hi guys, when I saw it was Clock Day I decided to make a tribute and put some effort into it: Clock Juggling. I would be grateful if it could be submitted to the Clock Day 2005 Collection! Most of the effort went into the actionscript.

Anyway, I had fun today. :)

One problem is that people see StrawberryClock's old flashes in the portal and want to imitate them. Perhaps it is justified that for one day of the year, people can get the chance to do just that, even though it is not what the Clock Crew intended. Of course, it is Newgrounds' decision for how to deal with the problem.

Thanks to Clock Day I didn't make any progress on the work I should probably have been doing. Instead I spent 5 hours making a clock flash while voting on new submissions at the same time. :)

For the people who submitted flash made in 5 seconds, it would be nice to see some effort... but hey, Clock Day is a good time to celebrate freedom.

Perhaps I should come up with a response for him, though it seemed more appropriate not to acknowledge him at all.

Though all the bad reviews have shown me I should improve my standard for the next thing I submit, Newgrounds has come a long way. My first two submissions which took a couple of years to be sucked into the blam-hole would be instant toast if I had submitted them today. :D
