Personally, I'd color and shade on a lower layer-- if you really want to keep your linework in tact. It's not really that complicated.

@OP: Try again, don't use stick figures, put in some effort, try GIMP or paint.net or something that makes it a little easier to make something decent than MS Paint does (yes, program can make a difference).
