I think a great idea would be a collab forum with special ranks and privileges based on NG accomplishments. For example, maybe you wouldn't be able to start a thread until you'd successfully submitted, say, 1 solo project OR 2 collabs. Once you've successfully led a collab, a moderator would give you a bonus rank and if you've led a couple of collabs flawlessly, you could get the final rank. These would be shown alongside the normal NG level in the forum and would be a quick indicator for folk to see how much trust should be given to that user.

Maybe killing off a collab you've started would result in a 3-month ban on starting a new thread and also a 'broken' icon.

I like it, definitely a new and good idea. The main problem I see with opening a new forum for collabs is that we would need new and enthusiastic mods, as, right now, mods in Flash and art are stretched a bit too thin and things sometimes get out of control fast, especially in art (*hint*). Mods for the collab forum would really have their work cut out for them, because of the ridiculous amount of posts those threads get. I really like this idea though, it would force people to really try with their collabs and not start them without giving serious thought to all areas of the collab.

brushing teeth...

can be bad for you if you do it too much! I mean eventually your teeth can get ground away if you're obsessive enough...

So I've heard... another reason to chew gum. =D

Gum may get the shit out from in between your teeth, but you'll get cavities if you don't brush them. Also, sugarless gum is loaded with sorbitol (a laxative) as a sweetener, so if you chew like multiple packs a day, you are basically poisoning yourself.

As for me, I barely chew gum on weekends and in the summer, but for some reason, during the school day I chew tons of gum.

I brush 2-3 times a day, I wrote that in my post. I think brushing more often than that is inconvenient and thusly I chew gum.

I poison myself with things more toxic than sorbitol on a daily basis.

..::5,000 fucking posts!?::..

Man, I never catch my meaningful post count milestones. I just posted about my obsession with gum for my 5k post. What a waste. Here's a shitty screenshot of my little box, just ignore the secret buttons that I have there, I should try yo ban myself...

..::gum::..

I've always been a gum chewer, I chew several pieces a day. I don't want to have bad breath or a nasty taste in my mouth and it's easier and more convenient than brushing my teeth more than 2-3 times a day.

Recently I've been getting bad dry mouth due to side effects of one of the medications I'm on, so I chew gum even more. They sell this extra pricey gum for people with dry mouth, it's a rip off, any sugar-free gum works just as good.

One other thing about gum: teeth whitening gum is a total rip off. Think about it, you don't chew gum with your front teeth, the teeth that you would most want to be whitened. I don't need the tops of my molars whitened. The packaging for whitening gum is stupid, normal gum is convenient because it comes with a piece of paper to spit it into, I hate that stupid pop out gum packaging.

I tend to over think things, I suppose...

..::sketchbook tour::..

Why is it not on the front page?

..::homophobia::..

All the gay jokes never seemed funny to me, and now they are so very worn out. It's not shocking, funny, interesting or anything else, it's just the same old shit.

Being an adult, I suppose I have a different perspective, I can remember a time when "gay" was not an insult, it shouldn't be an insult now but it is. Being homosexual or heterosexual is just part of who you are; it can be a very big part of who you are or it can be a very small part of who you are, it's up to the individual. People are people regardless of who they fuck or want to fuck. I can judge you by other, more important, aspects of your character, the sexual aspects of your being should not define who you are.

How "custom" are these sprites, exactly? Simple recolors? Did you actually modify the shape of the sprites? Where are the original sprites so that I can look at them?

Blobs should be animated frame by frame, not tweening, they look like jellybeans and they just smash into each other and roll around... not interesting. Make the blobs more dynamic, give them gelatinous movement, blobs should look like gooey sticky things, not hard things.

Watch some Mr. Coo movies.

Maybe you have a virus.

Things to try:
Exiting all other non essential processes and programs.
Exiting Flash and opening it again.
Rebooting your computer.
Uninstall Flash and re install it.

It's called Artificial Intelligence or AI.

Here are a couple of AS2 tutorials, I don't know how useful they are or if they even work right, but it's all I could dig up out of AS: MAIN.

A.i. by Dancing-Thunder
Artificial Thinking by Vengeance
