How? Explain to me in any way how this is a good idea.

I never said it was a good idea, I said that the it could have potential in the premise.

I really don't know that much about the show, but it's about finding the deadliest/most effective fighting techniques, correct?

Perhaps a protagonist lives during a feudal age in a violent part of the world and needs to learn fighting techniques from a master or several masters to overcome various obstacles that confront him and thus becomes the deadliest warrior. Very generic, but it basically falls into the guidelines of the monomyth, gives homage to the premise of the show in a Hollywood kind of way and could make for a popcorn movie. Meh, idk.

LIES!
They're not baby carrots at all , they're just regular carrots mechanically lathed into little carrot bullets! If they were baby carrots they would be under-ripe and taste bad.

I prefer whole carrots anyway.

Post Your Character Posted February 10th, 2012 in Video Games

Characters in games are becoming increasingly customizable, from their sex to their armor and everything in between. If you're playing a game that features extensive character customization why not post a picture of your character and, maybe a short description...

This is my character from Torchlight, obviously a brawler, I equip only the strongest items and pretty much ignore magic and enchantments unless they directly affect my characters ability to whoop ass.

Flash 8 is so ca$h, but kinda dated by now (I have been able to run it fine in Win 7 64 but have read of other people having lots of problems running or installing in a contemporary OS), last non-Adobe-bloatware Flash version much <3 for Flash 8 here.

Toon Boom Animate looks quite promising, but it costs the same as Adobe Flash CS5 (here anyway) and Animate Pro costs significantly more. I'd suggest you try the demo to see if you like it before making such a hefty investment.

The Edge at Great America in Santa Clara, California. It was my birthday and my dad told me that he'd pay for the trip to the amusement park if I went on this particular ride, I believe I was turning 10. The Edge was, according to some basic research I just did, the first ever free-fall ride in the world, basically you're strapped into a seat, the thing goes way up, it moves forward a bit and you plummet toward the ground, the track then curves outward so that you're on your back as the ride slows and eventually stops. It was one of the most exciting things I'd ever done and from that point on I've never been afraid to ride any ride at an amusement park.

As has been said already the BBS is bleeding users, and has been for some time. Unless there is a major reinvigoration of interest in the site, which is itself unlikely without some new major innovations, the BBS will continue a downward trajectory, imo.

I do not advocate or condone pirating Flash, but you have figures that are for the UPGRADE from a previous version, not the full software.

Again, I don't really like to pick favorites; I'll say AlantheBox, Luis, ReNaeNae, BizarroJoe and Jeepis.

No, people like to screw around and have fun, let them.

I think it's fair to say that every animator struggles with this problem. While the finished animation will bring you gratification (hopefully), the work leading up to that is extremely time consuming and intensive. So if you want that good feeling of sharing the finished product you should keep pushing yourself to complete it.

Yeah, I think it applies to creative types of all sorts, writers, musicians, fine artists, etc. I have a lot of trouble getting and staying motivated (cheap instant coffee helps only so much). So I'm just wondering what others do to get through the tough spots.

Watch other animations. There really is no trick to set that light bulb off in your head because that is all creativity. Someone can be the best animator in the world, but without the help of others thinking of stories for them ( or shorts ) they most likely will never be successful.

Most definitely. Have you seen any of the Annecy Festival short animations on Youtube?
They are amazing (this is one of my favorites)... But I digress, personally I like to take walks while listening to music and sometimes... sometimes an idea will hit me, usually not though, so it takes a long time for me to come up with anything worthwhile and then I have to deal with the motivation issue discussed earlier, lol...

Anyway, thatnks for your thoughts on this. =]
