With the CD industry completly falling apart due to people buying songs and albums off iTunes and people illegaly downloading music off peer to peer file sharing websites, how much longer do you think CDs will keep being made. How much longer do you think that recorded music in general will keep being made until everybody is downloading music illegally and there is no possible way to profit from recorded music anymore.
Being a person who likes to collect CDs for the fun of it I hope this never happens, though I know it will. I say CDs have about 4 or 5 years before they arn't profitable anymore.
And if the whole problem of illegally downloading music isn't solved, do you think that even iTunes will become unprofitable and all bands sieze to record music? I'm sure that something will be done about illegal file sharing soon but what if it doesn't, and the only music we will be able to listen to is the stuff made 50 years ago?
