I'm not saying that this collab is inadequate, but I think if you were to start the collab then your talent threshold for accepting parts would need to be much higher. A lot of the times people asked to join and they were let in with a pretty bad example. In no way do I think that it would be you who makes it half-assed, but when the parts are just barely sub-par, that reflects on the collab as a whole i.e. sprite animations made in 2 hours, parts using motion tweens improperly, and just sloppiness in general, which are examples of some things I've seen in here. This is a good overall collab, so don't take that as such a heavy insult, because theres a few cool art styles and funny jokes that saved it. I was also pretty mad because you had only been playing the game for like 3 days, I'm sorry to say that pissed me off, seeing as you're so new to it. And I know you could plan to play it, but play them before you go and propose a collab. Thirdly, I'm entitled to my own opinion, and I probably already didn't stand well with you enough to be co-authored in the first place. I won't hold back on my opinion just because I'm afraid not to be co-authored, which is why I'm allowed to disagree with you when I don't like what you're doing. Now I'm prepared to drop it unless you want this thread to be locked for going off topic and flaming.

Honestly, don't do it. I feel very strongly about the mother series. If you wanna pay tribute to it do so in a solo animation, it's hard for me as a mother fan to watch you contemplate making a potentially
half-assed collab on my favorite game. or least play the rest of the friggin' games, that or wait til' you're older, old enough to feel nostalgic about the game. Nostalgic enough to give it the respect of not excepting crappy parts. I would offer to co-create it but I have a laundry list of animations to be made. Please strongly consider making a solo submission in the stead of creating a collab infested with 13 year olds who think they should join because they main Ness or Lucas in brawl. T_T

pffffffft. Play the other games first, Skippy.

Actually, there's a huge stink with nintendo of America and earthbound. They refuse to release it on virtual console. Google it. seriously.

Response to: The Kirby Collab (probably Full) Posted March 28th, 2010 in Collaboration

Dude, I friggin love earthbound.

@ikool

I don't like how the back ground moves from a 2d perspective in the fish's second pose. try to animate from a vanishing point in the direction the fish is moving.

I have a ps3. add radwalrus, though I hardly play it. I'm too addicted to persona 3 and 4 which are ps2 games. stupid ps3 can't play my ps2 games. DAMMIT SONY!

Then you should go next year, (because you need a partner). My Communications technology signed my friend and I up. I could meet you in person and yell Kirby puns at you while you're animating lol.

The Peel region covers Mississauga and Toronto to name a few. But Toronto may be the Dufferin region... For you Americans Regions are the same things as countys...?

Response to: The Kirby Collab (probably Full) Posted March 16th, 2010 in Collaboration

Hey, are any Canadians here going to compete in the skills animation competition? If you live in the peel region prepare to die!

That looks pretty sweet =D

One time I left mine in my jacket pocket. I was thoroughly confused when it fell on the floor of the kitchen one day coming home from school. That must be one distracting vacuum too not notice sucking up a pen, or if you weren't the one who did the vacuuming I can imagine myself sucking random objects for laughs. did you look in the vacuum? objects that big shouldn't pass through into the trash bag. I know this because my mom found like 11 pennies in the tube once. oops lol. Anyway I can sympathize

Response to: The Kirby Collab (probably Full) Posted March 13th, 2010 in Collaboration

I live in Canada and it's essentially the exact same thing as spring break.

Response to: The Kirby Collab (probably Full) Posted March 11th, 2010 in Collaboration

That doesn't necessarily mean we should use it, and I'm pretty sure I mentioned my idea like 3 times to no avail.

Response to: The Kirby Collab (probably Full) Posted March 11th, 2010 in Collaboration

Nope, do whatever you want. I'm sure that doesn't affect anything.

Response to: The Kirby Collab (probably Full) Posted March 10th, 2010 in Collaboration

I sort of agree, the idea to put all the kirby drawings together was cool, but the V was not only unrelated to kirby... but sort of just... there.

Response to: The Kirby Collab (probably Full) Posted March 10th, 2010 in Collaboration

Yeah, I did that consciously but it ended up looking stupid D:

Hows everyone's part going? I think you should set a deadline, and *not* go back on it.

You only use "relative to" WHEN TWO THINGS CORRELATE (ignore the capslock) Sorry lol, I have grammar and vocabulary on my mind because the grade 10 literacy test is in two weeks. It's cute.

Stare into his eyessssssss. It's really hard to move to a new artstyle, especially afer your old syle was easier to draw. That's why his eyes are creepy D:

Hey guys, I made some art. I'm not scouted so I don't get comments, review them? :DDD

Response to: Art good for Desktop Wallpaper Posted March 6th, 2010 in Art

I just uploaded an over sized picture, it's on my profile. It's not quite big enough but I'm using it as wallpaper anyways.

Someone clarify the scouting system Posted March 6th, 2010 in Art

Hey, I've been working all afternoon on a drawing to post on my profile. I've searched the forums for threads explaining how to request to be scouted to no avail, as the only information I learned is you're not allowed to ask on the bbs. what DO I do? I pm'd rubbeninja to see if he'd scout me because I knew he'd never get unscouted. (my friend is often unscouted because his scouters are unscouted. clear things up? I'm sorry to be a trouble, really. pic related. it's the drawing I worked on, which is also on my profile.

Someone clarify the scouting system
