Well, it's just a quiet little beat (6 secs. long) so it's not really a big difference in KB. Where exactly would I add it though? Which layer?

I'm trying to add an audio loop to my preloader. I have the regular old NG preloader, and I've searched around this BBS and other sites and can't find any info or tutorials on how to add sounds or audio to preloaders. I know it can be done, can somebody help me out here please?

I've started making some video game theme remixes (SMB, Donkey Kong, Dragon Warrior, etc.) in addition to my other themes. Apparently people like that video game stuff around here. :D And there's more coming.

I've had my music used in over 35 submissions so far. Check out my latest stuff! I love reading reviews! CLICKY CLICKY!

"I'm only afraid of three things. Heights, bees, and female bodybuilders."

I do have each body part (head + body, left arm, right arm) in its own layer and they can move, but they won't tween and if I move the body the arms and mouth don't follow. I don't know how to hook all the parts together.

Hey,

I'm looking for someone to help me out with a very simple animation (actually, a series of animations) that I'm doing. It's called "Michael's Stand-Up", and it's basically my comedy stand-up routine in animated form. I suppose it could be compared to the "Foamy's Rant" series, except there's actual animation and lip-synching involved. :)

I've already created a cartoon version of myself, with movable arms and mouths. I'll also be making eye and leg animations. But I'm having trouble putting all the pieces together. I want to be able to move around the stage and talk and move my arms at the same time. And since this is planned as an ongoing series, I need to have all the pieces interchangable so I can have some variety.

I am basically teaching myself Flash as I go along. I'm trying to figure out how to tween and create motion guides but I'm not having a lot of luck. I have several tutorials but the instructions never seem to match what I'm doing (I have Flash MX 2004).

I'm looking for someone who can take a look at my animation-in-progress .FLA file and show me how to make it all work. If anyone out there can help, it would be much appreciated!

Good news! My site is back up and running (and will be for another year now :)) I'm also still looking for a couple of good animators to work on my "Bad Atom" and "Food Adventures" short cartoons. I've had a lot of, umm, "interesting" responses so far...

I'm also looking for animators / artists to take some of my other (non-series) ideas and do something with them. I'm going to post more information about those ideas in my own forums soon.

Good news!

I've signed on an animator to work on my "Squeek & Ribbit" Flash, and I hope to get that started up very soon. (Second time's a charm!)

I'm still looking for animators to work on my "Bad Atom" and "Food Adventures" short cartoons though. I'm trying to get badatom.com back on the map again after being down for six months and some new animated cartoons would really do the trick.

I've been putting music on NG for a couple of years now (111 submissions as of today!) and I love hearing people's opinions on it. I know I don't have all the fancy technology like some users - all I have is FL Studio 4.1 and I do everything I can with it.

Here it is!

Okay, I'm back from work. :) Let's see if I can address everyone's concerns.

First of all, if I posted a demo of my Flash animation skills, you'd all understand why I'm soliciting outside help. :)

Next, the prices I offered are just a starting point. The animator that I worked with before, I paid him $50 after a week's work. And I do understand that professional animators make a lot more than I'm offering - I've spoken to Sam T. of Ebolaworld fame before and you don't want to know what he charges for 60 seconds. :)

In the end, the money is just a bonus. I know I'm certainly not in it for the money. But if you love to animate, and you're good at it, and you get a little $$$ on top of that? Sounds good to me.

Thanks for all the responses!

Animators wanted! I'm looking for experienced, professional Flash animators to work with on three different cartoon projects. I've been waiting to post this until my website was back up - it's been down for a while now. So here's what I need...

1) I need an animator to finish "Squeek & Ribbit in: The Cage" for me. I had an animator who finished 1/3 of it for me, then disappeared off the face of the earth! So I need someone to complete this 4-minute long cartoon. Whoever animates it can use what's already done and go from there - as long as they can match the previous style. Everything's done and ready for it - storyboards, voices, music, sound effects, character designs, etc. I am willing to pay at least $100 to have this project completed.

2) I need an animator to start work on a series of eight 60-second "Food Adventures" short cartoons, one focusing on each "FA" character. They will all have the same looping 9-second intro logo / preloader and title scheme. (The preloader has already been designed but needs some work.) I will do the storyboards, sound effects, designs, etc. The goal is to have one cartoon completed every four weeks or so. I am willing to pay at least $30 per cartoon.

3) I need an animator to start work on a series of approximately two-minute long "Bad Atom" cartoons. "Bad Atom" is my most popular cartoon, so these animations will be a big deal. The goal is to have one completed every eight weeks or so. I am in the process of working on the ideas for these, so email me if you would be interested in collaborating with me.

Now here's the good part - I do most of the work for you! I always do the storyboards, the voices, music and sound effects, and I design all the characters and backgrounds. So all you have to do is animate everything in Flash, send me your files, and I'll put it all together. The cartoons will be showcased on my website, www.badatom.com, newgrounds.com, knoxskorner.com, and many more affiliates. Not only that but you get paid as well!

I am willing to pay good $$$ for your work, but first I will need to see examples of your previous Flash animations. Email me at michael@badatom.com - you can send me a link to your website or cartoons. Don't send me the actual cartoons to download, please! If you have any questions, feel free to ask or email me. And of course, don't forget to check out my website - www.badatom.com - to see what it's all about.

Michael

I'm looking for an experienced animator to help me out with a series of short Flash cartoons.

The cartoons will be 60-90 seconds long each and are based on my "Food Adventures" comic strip series. CLICK HERE and check out the "Food Adventures" section for more information.

I design the characters, draw all the storyboards, compose the music and sound effects (basically I do everything except animate). Obviously I'll share credit with the animator.

My plan is to complete 8 of these short films in the next two months. That gives the animator a week to work on each one. The cartoons are very simple and the characters are fairly easy to draw.

Now for the good part - I am willing to pay a small amount of money for the work (preferably by PayPal). The amount depends on the quality of the work as well as how fast it gets done.

If you're interested, show me some examples of your previous work. You can either post a link here, or you can e-mail me. Serious animators only, please! Last time I did this, I had people sending me stick figures...

Some specifications on the cartoons:

They must be 400x300, 24 FPS. I'm planning to include them with my other animated projects on a DVD.

The cartoons will run 60-90 seconds each, not including the intro/pre-loader (9 seconds long, on a loop). I'm having another animator create the intro.

One last thing - this is the extent of my animation skills. So if you think you can do better than this...

I compose music with FL Studio, as well as on my piano (not so much anymore). You can find my stuff in the Audio Portal under Bad_Atom. A lot of it would be perfect for an RPG. I don't mind sharing my work as long as I get credit for it. I mean, isn't that the point of the Audio Portal, to share your work and let others use it?

Below is a demo of some of the voices I can do, including some sound effects. I can do a lot more than these - this is just something I threw together quickly. (Warning: Contains R-Rated Language) :)

I also have a program where I can pitch my voice up and down if you want a girl or monster voice or something. I can also mix audio files together and add special effects.

P.S. No, I wasn't drunk when I was recording those voices :)

The cartoon will be based on the "Squeek & Ribbit" comic strip, so those are the characters you would be working on. I wouldn't be able to pay for a demo, but if it's good, I could show it around and get you some exposure on several sites. Let me know what you think.

Hi!

I'm looking for an experienced animator to work on a 5-minute long Flash-animated cartoon for my website. The cartoon is based on my "Squeek & Ribbit" comic strip, and is called "The Cage". I've already done the following:

Written the script
Designed the characters and backgrounds
Completed the music and sound effects, and performed the voices
Storyboarded the entire cartoon

All I need now is an animator. (It's the one thing I can't do.) The animation is actually very simple, there are very few flashy effects or anything like that. It's just beyond my capabilities at this time. Like I mentioned in the forum topic, I'm willing to pay for someone to animate this for me. Obviously the amount would depend upon the time it would take to complete the project. (I've been told by an animator that it would take roughly two weeks to complete.)

If you are interested, please e-mail me and include a list of your previous work on Newgrounds so I can see if your style fits the project.

For more information, visit my website, www.badatom.com.

I knew you were curious... :)

I've started making NEW daily and weekly comic strips at BadAtom.com! Lots of stuff to see! I'm looking for everyone's opinions on my comic strips and especially my scripts. Let me know what you think, sign my guestbook or leave some feedback. I'd appreciate it!

"Bad Atom" - Meet the world's smallest hero! A new holiday-themed comic strip every day. Plus a collection of original comic strips dating back to 1995! Flash and GIF animations too!

"Squeek & Ribbit" - Squeek is a rat who talks like a gangster. Ribbit is a frog who thinks he's a bear. And they live in the same cage. Two animals, one cage, NO ESCAPE! A new comic strip every week - or more if I find the time :)

"Bad Atom"? What the hell is that?
