Exactly, if someone who is relatively new to flash and is trying, but his submissions keep getting blammed, he may give up completely, now im not saying 5 everything, but alot of people vote 0 on submissions without watching them either, and just assume they wont pass based on the icon, file size, and author comments. :/

When i see a crappy flash, and it happens to be someones fist flash, i re-judge it to see if it took alot of work for a first-timer. If i still think it could be way better, there comes the 0 :P

JUST FOR CLARIFICATION

some people seem to think i vote 0 on everything, I DONT DO THAT.
if i wanted to statwhore, id vote 5 on everything, that works way better...

the point is, i do watch before i judge.
It's just, if i judge it deserves a pass, i won't vote at all, cuz i want blams, not saves.

This because i hate those profiles that say :
"rank: OMGzors, something really high.
Blams: 300
Saves: 3873"

Those people suggest they are the ones who vote 5 on absolutely everything, just to get a high rank and i don't like them for that :P
That's not fair, because some of those people vote fairly. They get all those saves because saves are easier to get...
That's why i want the blams, you feel me?

P.S.
I got the idea when i sasw some1's profile and notice he had a 4:1 B/S ratio, and he had achieved the rank of Lt. General, i beleive. I instantly respected him for not voting high on crap just for the saves :P inspiration dude xD

I've been trying to up my blam points for a few months now, only voting on the portal submissions i think won't make it through judgement, and leaving the save points alone.

Only... I see TONS AND TONS of CRAP making it through, not only reducing NG quality, but also denying me my blams :P

So here is the basic idea: why not make voting 0,1,2 count as blam instead of just 0 and 1, and upping the treshold for passing judgement. I'm sure there is good logic behind the current system, i just seem to miss it completely...

So if some1 could either support me or tell me why this idea blows, i'd appreciate it greatly :)

uhm, i know the guy's probably really busy and all, but how long does it normally take to get a response?

sbp500's review is a bit dodgy, i definately dont approve of it, but i'd be careful flagging it...

and yes, -before anyone can tell me to- i have read the faq on this, the reason i still posted was that there seem to be some prizes missing in the faq -like daily 2nd for example-, and this way i could suggest to add the "something-day winner" award :P

This came to mind when i saw last year's madness day winner: Deus Ex Machina and noticed it only had one award: a measly " Weekly 5th Place - 09/26/2007"... :P

Shouldn't it have like " Madness Day 1st Place - 09/26/2007"?
I'd like it if there were more available rewards, it shows in the blink of an eye which movies stand out -most likely for a good reason :P- ::Idea perhaps? add "front paged + date" to the list?::

So, what i'm really asking: what are all possible rewards for flashes available?
I've seen daily 1 trough 3, weekly 1 through 5 and review crew pick. and ofc totw :P

i dont beleive i fully understand your question, but do you mean what the letters in the title say?

Global NG Styles -NG stands for NewGrounds-
Global colors - with below the colours the font and font codes - you can just zoom in to seem them better
Input Fields, Butoon Styles and Miscellaneous speak for themselves
And the notice tells u basically that this stuff all belong to newgrounds

Why not appoint some new ones?

and by the way, it sounds like you don't have any experience writing stuff on cd's or dvd's for that matter.
Just in case, check if your computer is capable of burning music onto a disc. Because some disc trays can only read, not write...
it'd be stupid if you'd bought the cd's, only to find out you cannot burn music :P

Only if it is a rewritable CD-R.

How can you tell? Does it say it in the front of it?

CD-R is never rewritable, you need CD-RW.
But personally, i'd use a dvd instead of a cd... more room for songs :P

Im assuming you were trying to submit a picture? Some kind of drawing you made?
Im afraid you can only submit flash games/video's and audio.
But it'd be a good idea to add suich a section in my opinion :P
