Ahhhhh yeah, I wasn't sure at all who you meant by "you" in your original response. Comprende.

Instead of leaving you've trolled it hard.
Double post this shit to clean my bowels please.
So, you think that the school shootings are all because of a political atmosphere in the US?
Would you mean qualifying that a teensy bit?

Yeah, but when Polonius says that, it's ironic because he continues on for-fucking-ever.
But yeah, true say. If you can think it in less than a page and a half, you should be able to say it in that much.
That would be a nope, unfortunately. Audiobook maybe?
Yeah, the two black women I've been with haven't felt significantly different from the two white women (except for having better asses, better lips and softer skin).
The whole BBC thing's actually a myth, so there's no reason why they would be I guess.

Pffft, patriarchy isn't about all men running the show, it's just about the show being run by men.
It was like our first attempt at logical empiricism. We used it to come up with a lot of very cool methods, which then ended up proving that most the assumptions in the theories behind alchemy were wrong.
Alchemy's greatest achievement was probably ripping itself apart and rebuilding itself as science.
Being a malcontent must feel pretty shitty, huh?

This.
If you have all the money you need and having a job is hurting your quality of life, quit that shit. That's why it's called "fuck you money" brah.

This entirely. Encouraging a kid to do things that aren't socially normal for their gender isn't going to mess them up anymore than violent video games and rap music will. Provided they aren't hurting their kids, parents have the right to raise their children as they see fit, so regardless of whether you guys agree with Tumblr Mom calling CPS is overstepping the mark (not to mention validating her massive persecution complex).
I swear, SJWs are the new trolls. You guys really need to stop paying them so much attention.

I agree with you entirely - If we didn't tell people "if you don't use violence to solve your problems, you aren't a man" then we probably wouldn't see as many school shootings. That's definitely part of the problem (although I'd suggest it's a lot more complicated than just that).
What ISN'T the problem is people not wanting to be friends with poor old Elliot Rodgers or misunderstood little Derrick Harris. These people were clearly sadistic nut-cases.
If any political movement is to blame, I'd blame the more extreme, less nuanced parts of the American hard right which preach a hard variant of rugged individualism where the police and social elders cannot be approached for justice, and only the individual is responsible for protecting themselves and their property. The more unforgiving minority within the NRA, the more bloodyminded elements of the militia movement that despise government - not for it's inefficiencies or occasional tyranny, it's unaccountability or it's corruption but for it's moderating effect on civilian life and for it's opposition to vigiliantism.
Except, of course, to blame a political movement for mass-shootings is fucking retarded.
Protip - Shooting everyone isn't a great way to prove you're not a weirdo.
For clarity - I don't think anyone should be ostracised just because they're "weird", even if they are a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Autistic, psychotic and neurotic people can all be freaking awesome in ways that no-one else ever could. We should respect that the more different people we involve in our dialogues, the more creative we'll be able to be as a society.
However, I do not believe for a minute that a regular school-kid without some serious psychopathology would ever respond to social rejection with the carefully planned out, merciless sadism we see in these school shootings. It's far more likely that they were ostracised because they're a sadistic nutcase than it is that they're a sadistic nutcase because they were ostracised.
You lost the argument when you claimed that mentally sound people would respond to social rejection with mass murder.
Protip - Shooting everyone isn't a great way to prove you're not a weirdo.
Well, if there's anything positive we can take from this, it's that rich black people are just as above the law as rich white people.

Being able to walk!
But seriously, in all reality getting a silver medal in any olympics is probably much better than being able to walk. I mean, they have those leg things anyway, so the joke doesn't really stand up to any serious scrutiny.

Sounds corny, but I think the main thing is that it has to establish a fun relationship where you both just have fun together. I think another thing though is that it should be something they get excited over, maximises the chance of them getting confused and thinking they're excited for you!

Really? I've had a lot of great first dates at the movies. Only works if it's personal though, like you both have a movie you talked about and got excited about.

I'm 85% sure Stereo isn't really a troll. If he is, fuck it, he's worked hard enough for everyone's raging for none of us to feel any shame.

It's them punishing the world. It's showing everyone what constant social rejection feels like. Where it takes the soul.
That implies school shooters have a clear motive. I think every shooting is more just about wanting to shoot everyone sufficiently more than wanting to live and also not kill people to the degree where it can become the single most important thing in someone's life. Ignoring school shootings, we always recognise that to get to this point you have to: a) really, really want to shoot someone, b) no longer care about life, c) not live by any mentally sound moral code and d) have a somewhat obsessive personality.
These aren't just hurt kids lashing out, they're sadistic, suicidal, amoral lunatics who would be the bullies if it wasn't so clear to everyone around them that they're fucking mental.
But it's interesting to note that mental health problems are pretty much everywhere in the first world, but only America really has a school shooting problem. I think it's because school shootings are always in your public consciousness and therefore something these nutcases will obsess over. Hell, Adam Lanza wasn't even going to school and he still decided that he would shoot one up rather than, say, a shopping mall or a hospital.

So what is left when it has all been done before?
To be fair, everyone at any point in history would say this. In two thousand years (provided we haven't nuked each other or been hit by an asteroid) people will look back on us and wonder how we went so long without their everyday stuff. That's how the problem of induction works though - You never quite grasp how much you don't know, because you don't know anything about what you don't know. Including how big it is.
It seems like for every step we take forward scientifically, we take two steps back in love and respect for each other. Chivalry is dead. Love has become lust. God is dead. Science is the new God. This God has no morals. This God only knows hypothesis and conclusion.
I think it's wrong to pin that on science - Science really doesn't change people that much (and very rarely does it change them for the worse). As far as things being worse than they used to be, all that's happened is that people have been given more power to choose between right and wrong. If it seems like love's become lust, maybe it's just that a lot of the time in the past people didn't want love at all but just satisfying your lust wasn't an option. People still find love, it's just that it isn't the only available dish. As far as chivalry goes, I think it's easy (and convenient) to forget that some people have always been shits. There are still plenty of stories of courage and decency about, I don't think we're as bad today as is often made out.
OT, I think the next step for people will be figuring out how we're going to work as a space-age superorganism. Right now we split ourselves into administrative groups by nationality, but when we start colonising other planets I think that concept is going to have some trouble - We're either going to have to revert to imperialism and deal with the return of WWII scale war or embrace some form of internationalism. Either is going to have massive changes to our economies, cultures and every other aspect of our lives. Be some interesting shit.
Hahahaha, I definitely second this. We do want to hear your stories and for you to be yourself. We want to go to that place but if we do, please, just please declare all packaged goods.

Saw the following awesome explanation for climate change in a blog -
I think most people would say that if we set all the forests in the world on fire it makes sense that that would effect the climate. What we've done is dug up hundreds of millions of years worth of concentrated forests and burned them in all in the span of about 100 years.
- and was wondering if anyone else had heard any great explanations for seemingly complex ideas lately?
Another really great one was when my physics teacher explained gravity. He asked us to imagine two bowling ball on a trampoline, and pointed out that they would inevitably roll together because the trampoline surface effectively wants all the objects stretching it out in one place. Really great intuitive explanation of a very complex concept.

Yeah, no ParagonX9 could definitely be a dude, but that's irrelevant as far as the thread goes imho because pretending to be a girl didn't stop him becoming the most popular audio portal artist probably ever (with the possible exception of xKore).
