Whats up guys I'm Nicholas Cato and I'm an Illustrator / Concept artist with 2 years experience in the independent game industry.
Most of the work I've done has been in the independent game industry working with small developers on board game titles. Ive also worked on a few very small game projects. My specialties are character and creature design but I am also adept at environments, 3D art and graphic design. Please take a moment to review my 2D portfolio here
If you think I'd be a good match for your project go ahead and shoot me a message on here or email me nicholas.cato@gmail.com
Hope to here from you soon!

Thanks for the tip but that was not the final version the last version was around 800 polys
V study V
One last word of advice, I personally prefer to avoid using shiny materials while I sculpt since the specularity can hide imperfections.
Once again, keep at it! I want to see more from you.
Thanks for the advice! this sculpt start as attest to see how much of the face anatomy i could remember without reference so that why its a little off in area like the brow and the nose and extra long mouth
also i sculpted this in sculptris and in sculptris once you turn off symmetry you can go back :( and the shiny mat was just put on after i sculpted it for rendering purposes! :D
Your model in zbrush had a subdivision or two worth of polys that it wouldn't need in Maya
I dig your sculpts though, keep it up.
remesher is my best friend right now :D
Well if this is his father, then I don't see why not
I was actually going for the stay puft ghost look, but who knows either one could be fins biological father ;)

same model all textured out. screenshot from maya
front wireframe of same model
Some 3D poop out of zbrush
study from life in Photoshop
My ART THREAD! thought i would make one of these since I'm new to the NG community :D
Hobo with a shotgun! love that movie
If you're going for a realistic approach to sculpting the "head wound" sculpt just looks like you took an alpha brush to a base head model and colored it
It would've been cool if you looked at some reference images of a skull and how muscles lay on the skull and tried to illustrate the different layers of facial anatomy
This sounds fun! :D
Horned Prairie Dog-
Grows rugged horn on head that resembles a rock. When sleeping it burrows under ground and uses rock like horn to fill the hole. Unsuspecting predators pass by thinking its just a rock.
Also males use the horns to fight each other during mating season :p

good point but nothing would stop them from just cropping out the signature.
and plus its pretty hard to sell a digital image. i could see if they used it in their portfolio to try and get commissions but even if they did do that and couldn't deliver the same quality it really won't do them any good.
also i have the original PSD file and a speed paint video on my youtube channel of this painting which is proof enough if this would ever happen
still gonna start signing my work if theft is common place on NG

On a side note, all of your portal submissions are pretty giant when you enlarge them. That's not really a problem, but it might behoove you to resize them a little for the web before putting them in the portal.
Really hope you keep it up.
Thanks for the tip i just wanted the high res version to be readily downloadable
