The best Tip I ever received is before you draw from imagination you must draw from life. Learn your proportions and basic foreshortening then try tackling those awesome ideas you have!

All fantasy creatures or aliens that you see adhere to either standard human or animal anatomy with minor variation. I highly recommend you start working from life. I'm on this journey with you man, I have lots of areas I need to improve too..

Looks like a lot of stuff in that link, including some sciency stuff I don't think I quite understand, but definitely sounds helpful thats for sure. I think following alot of details shown in those pics would definitely help improve me, thanks I think I might get to it as soon as I've finished with some other business tomorrow. Again thanks for the pointers and especially the link.

This is a concept drawing I'm working on for a comic. Obviously, It needs some work and I was hoping to get some tips or methods that could help me drawing more things like this in the future. I'm also open to any criticism, the more you have to say about this example the more I know I need to improve on. Also as a heads up as I'm sure you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at it, this is a bunny....

Yup.... I'm aware of that. Which is why I want to get through my old sketches as soon as possible and put up better ones.

It is time for me to reach out. So, hey there NG I've been a big fan of the stuff on here and since I've just recently gotten a new scanner I want to share what I have and get some feedback (maybe even some tips or advice). Of course, nothing is easy as I'm fully aware and I'll have to get past the scouting phase before I can really get the ball rolling but who doesn't love a good challenge, its good motivation. I'd love for you guys to check out my page and see what you think, if you don't like my style then any advice or simple requests for changes are always welcome. Currently I have 15 submissions posted up on my user page and I'll be posting more over the night, but do keep this in mind: Some of my first and current submissions are not things I've recently worked on and don't do my skills much justice but as soon as I'm through uploading them all I will post more recent (and better) works. I'm doing it this way because I want to give others an idea of how I've progressed and as a reminder to myself of where I am.

Here are some samples if you don't feel like going to my page (but there's more if you do):

I'll say it again, I will be uploading more tonight in case you're not satisfied with these.

Thanks, that should give me a better idea of what to do from here.

- I've just finally started getting involved with NewGrounds. I've been here for a long time, but I'm just now starting to post things (mostly stuff I worked on in the past) and there's still a bit I don't know, like for example how to leave posts in the Artist News section so I can let people know about what I'm doing, and I'm also curious to know how to post a few on the front page to get a bit more attention when I decide to start releasing bigger projects and pieces.

- Also in case anyone is interested or curious, I'll post a sample of my works below, or you can click on my profile or click this link: [Art Sample]

-The few things I do have posted are not recently made, so they don't neccessarily reflect my current abilities.

So. . . . I'm feeling a bit N00bish
