I also have some arm and tail adjustments, as well as redoing the perspective on the beer glass in the air. Something seems off.
I feel like you should check out Tracey Butler's work I feel you might find she shares some similar character art aesthetics (if you don't know her yet of course)
your studies appear to be the best man, keep on practicing :)
my advice would be to completely abandon the soft brush for a while
and keep opacity 50-100% most of the time
that practice helped me a lot, I think it might help you too
Man, I have almost exactly the same situation here, I've been studying music composition for a while and only a year and a half started practicing art seriously more or less

heh, cute :)
keep it up man, doing good work here
latest thing, learning to work in colour instead of doing b&w and then colouring it after the fact;
it's very hard for me for some reason, I think I might despise colour as a concept.
spent a very therapeutic hour or two painting happy little clouds

I really think you are overdoing it with the filters tho, i dont think it adds anything to your pieces.
If you are using them consider using them a bit less so they aren't that obvious.
And you want to work on your anatomy, in particular learning good proportions would really crank up the quality of your work imo.
Really like this one btw, it has a far greater edge control than most of your pics. Keep it up dude!
thanks man, yeah I'm still practicing all my basics :)
I'm occasionally taking some breaks just to do figure studies, anatomy is a tricky thing yeah

yeah man I completely agree, might actually come back to it tomorrow, it's bugging me a lot
What the guy above said. Get a sketchbook and pencils, draw in it everyday for at least 1-2 hours. Filling the first sketchbook completely with drawing could be your first short term goal.
Here's a famous page that every beginner should read through http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-draw-learn
so I was trying to play with photoshop a bit more and experiment with new tools, not super happy with this one but oh well, what do you think?
Did a new pic, 2 hours in PS. I uploaded the video of the process here
Hey man, really digging that long pose drawing in progress!
hiya
good start you have there going, my main advice would be to focus on working with value, do a lot of black and white studies. Keep it up :)
did a quick speedpaint to warm myself up
and a current work in progress
also, here's the newest finished illustration http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/antonoxenuk/desert-god
once again, have been away for a while, sorry, here are some studies from photos, a WiP, and a sketch, and also a link to my newest illustration
starting with photo studies
haven't posted in a while, here's a wip
Hey guys I finished that commission thing you can see it here
Finished a commission
also, here's a 1hr sketch I made in a 1hr challenge on a theme of "opposites"
Have been busy for a while, here's a quick late night sketch :)
Update: quick touch up to finish it up and upload

Done streaming for today, not sure if I can make this a regular thing since my laptop barely handles it, but oh well. Drawn today while streaming:
I am live streaming right now, please come and say hi :)
Kinda proud of how the latest album cover I painted turned out, so here's the process more or less. Final imagine in my profile in a bigger size of course :)
Started with a general abstract idea of shapes and quickly found a combination I liked. Still wanted to put a character under the whole thing. Later decided that it was meh since no one would notice him anyway, also wanted to fill the empty space in the lower right corner with something, so the small character transformed into what we see now. After deciding where to put the text and how to do it and some detail work on the whole thing in black and white I switched to color and started adding it on top, with extra texture and ornament work for more detail.
Not it's up to the musician to deliver good music :)

Thanks again! After some googling I can definitely say Tsutomu is a discovery for me but I am familiar with some of Kazuma's work, mostly from Persona games and DMC3, which I think is super badass :)
