Take a look around the art forum you brainless idiot. Look at the topics. Notice they are made by people who actually put some time and effort into their art instead of scribbling some crap in flash that took them 5 minutes.

:SERIOUSLY!? YOU WANT AN ART-OFF!? REALLY!? YOU??????
Jesus is praying for you.

Two things... One, I didn't draw any of these pictures in Flash. Plus if you look around, you could find worser crap. Two, no I don't wan't an art-off. All these posts made me realize that I'm a mediocre artist.

Your art lacks even the most basic of principles and signs of creativity. The fact that you also advertise yourself on your FREEWEB is nothing short of embarrassing.

PLEASE! STUDY some anatomy books! LOOK at other forms of art that isn't anime! Can you honestly look at your drawings and say it's good? Develop your art and possibly a unique style, you'll thank yourself later.

First of all, it's not meant to be anime. Haven't you people heard of personal style? Second of all, I have been drawing since I was 5. Third of all, there are probably worse drawings out there. And finally, if you people are such experts, I'd like to see what you can draw.

Here's more of my art... Except this one was done completely on the computer, in Photoshop CS2. I used a graphics tablet for this.

Here is another thing I drew. By the way, if you desperately need artwork, email me at danielzabolotny@gmail.com. By the way, all the characters I've posted here are from my weekly webcomic at my site. I'd really like to hear your comments.

Well, here are some pictures I drew lately. I first drew them, then scanned them, and then cleaned them up on the computer. All the shading and coloring was done in Photoshop CS2.

Dude! the drawing owns... But the chainmail is annoying as hell. Seriously, am I the only person who doesn't believe in that bullshit? I see these goddamn chain letters all over the place. What I'd like to know, is who is the asshole who started the chain letters?

Topic: Lines or Brush?

I use brushes. The brushes I use for blood effects. I have a tablet, and the brushes in Flash support pressure, and using pressure, it's really easy to come out with some really nice blood effects. For general drawing, I prefer the pencil.

Here are some tips that might help...
1) Turn on the onion skin effect(second button to right from trashcan on timeline). Onion skin will make Frame by frame animation much easier.
2) Use as many layers as possible. It will give you much more control over animating.
3) Use layer folders to organize related layers.
4) Use a flash camera. PM me or email me at danielzabolotny@gmail.com for the camera.
5) Layers work as they would in real life. Whatever layer is on top, will appear on top on the stage.
6) Frequently preview the animation, to make sure its going correctly.
7) Animate at a higher framerate. I use 24fps. On the internet, the flash gets slower, so a high framerate is necessary.
8) Save frequently, because Flash crashes a lot in Windows.
I hope these tips have helped you.
Here below is a screenshot of what my workspace looks like, while animating. I use Flash 8.

Topic: Using Flash CS3 for the first time

Posted: 09/03/07 08:38 PM

Forum: Flash

i wonder how you got a $700 program like Flash CS3... I doubt you could afford it, since you're 14. Go find a used version of Flash for $200 on amazon.com/ebay.com. Unless you're using Vista, Flash CS3 is not necessary to make good flashes. And wow, there's actually another 14-year old Flash user out there... I thought I was the only one.

I have Flash and Photoshop, the full versions, they look excellent on a mac(I use one at school). It's good having a father who's a graphics designer, cuz I get real versions of flash and photoshop from him.

Who says you have to buy a Wacom tablet? If you aren't a professional, there's no sense in buying a Wacom tablet. I got a nice tablet for $44 on Amazon.com. For an amateur, a cheap tablet is good. Besides, Flash only supports pressure sensitivity(Flash 8), so the advanced Wacom features aren't even utilized.
I can draw reasonably well on my tablet. Go to if you want to see what I've done with my cheapo tablet.http://www.freewebs.com/pccomic/m ydrawings.htm

Well, I tried Macromedia Flash 2. Flash 2 is still better than LiveSwif, and has almost all of the Flash CS3 features, except for actionscript. The earliest version of Flash that I'm willing to use is Flash MX, because that's the only version of Flash that runs on Linux. MX still has actionscript though...

Go to amazon.com and search flash mx 2004. I saw a new copy of MX 2004 for only $200. You don't need CS3, because it's overkill, and actionscript 3 is a bitch.
