Lol. I never said it was true. I just took all of the classic stereotypes of Russians and put them together. I'm Russian also, so I would know that it's not all true.

Well... except for the vodka part... I <3 vodka...

After the demise of my beloved tablet, I didn't draw for quite a while, and I pretty much disappeared from the art forums. But I'm back now, with some new stuff. All drawn with a mouse in Flash 8, unless otherwise noted. I have here a comic which took me several hours to make.
Full-resolution version here. =D

The sad thing is, this is based on a true story.

Flash is not good for comics. It's a royal pain in the ass to update, and not everybody has the Flash plugin. PHP is what most webcomic sites use to organize and display the comics. In fact, there's a free script out there called Comikaze, which is ideal for webcomics.

Whoops. Hehe. Thanks for pointing out that little tidbit. I've also gotten rid of the "best viewed in" thing. IE 6.0 renders it perfectly now, thanks to an alternate stylesheet. I'm currently working on the order form, trying to align it without resorting to tables...

More tabs will be added, the little "best viewed on" thing will be removed, and I'm working on fixing it in IE 6.0.

For game-making, Actionscript is best. With 3.0, it almost has all the capabilities of a real programming language. Game-maker is ok... but not the best choice. And teachers are not to be trusted at all, because most of them are retards who can't get any better jobs.

I just think all this religion stuff is complete bullshit. Religion is just a crutch that idiots rely on to explain concepts that their puny minds are too feeble to rationalize. I stopped believing in this Christ bullcrap when I was 7, and it's been fine for me. You know, I should go on over to Ireland and try to offend as many people as possible... And I leave you with this picture:

I'm lucky I live in NYC, where nobody gives a flying fuck about what you believe in.

From a web designer's point of view, safari is a god-send.

Firefox is good for regular usage, but with the web designer plugin, it becomes a pretty useful tool. Safari 3.0 is also good, because it even supports most CSS 3.0...

If you want people to work for nothing, at least make your site more attractive. It's an overuse of gradients (bleh!), cheap rollovers, and ugly images.

You used a prebuilt site, with a free host, and no real domain. All you did was sign up for the service, which any half-brain trilobyte can do. You should have at least removed all the copyright links before trying to pass it off as your own work...

There is no real way to get a free domain. You're just going to have to stop being such a cheapskate and fork over the 7+ dollars (or whatever you use) for a domain name. Now, hosting you can get for free if you look around. I recommend superfreehost.info for free hosting, and Dreamhost if you can stop being so cheap long enough to pay for it.

A login system with XML files and Flash will be all too easy to break through. Decompilers are widely available, so if needed, one could simply decompile and find all the XML files. Since you're using a free host, you might as well use a decent one, that has PHP and mySQL. *cough* superfreehost.info *cough*

XML/RSS is the way to go. Making it pop out of nowhere is kind of annoying, though. I suggest making it into a dashboard widget. Dashboard widgets aren't too hard to make, and you could easily make it call the NG RSS feed.

You can use the underscore hack to cater your designs to accomidate ie6. Its a pain in the ass but something you have to live with for now.
Why use IE when you can have FireFox?

Let me explain. You ignore IE 6, and you lose at least 1/2 of your visitors. Also, Firefox is the better browser, but there are still idiots who don't know how to download and install it. IE 7 comes with VIsta, not with XP. XP comes default with IE 6. I dunno about XP SP3, though.
