NASCAR? Fuck NASCAR man.

What kind of race is it if every car is stock, no forced induction mind you, and they all have basically the same V-8 engine? It's a dick measuring contest is what it is!

McDonald's Employment... Posted February 22nd, 2012 in General

Hey folks,

Everyone knows the job market is bad, and I'm not complaining about this by any means, but I just got hired at McDonalds. Now, I'm very grateful for this. But I'm also dismayed. McDonald's is basically everything I stand against. Processed and compacted disgusting food, pre-wrapped and deep fried. Awful.

I have no other choice than to work at this place. I mean, for Christ's sake, Waffle House turned me down. Waffle House. But that's life.

Does anyone have experience working at good ole' Micky D's? What should I expect?

This is very true. New Orleans is a fairly beautiful place when people aren't throwing up all over the place. It's certainly an interesting spot.

All an edit button would do is allow you to fix your typos. Type better, problem solved.

Pretty much.

I'm not sure why this is still a debate. The staff has made it clear that they don't want an edit button. It's their call.

All forums have one. It's just Newgrounds that doesn't because they suffer massively from the "not invented here" syndrom, which isn't viable for a small company.

What are you on about? It's clearly viable for NewGrounds because we're still posting here.
I would hardly call NewGrounds small. Which leads to the reason we can't have an edit button.

Too big. Too many diverse personalities.

What's wrong with some who simply commits a typo and goes back to fix it. You can still miss things in a proof read. An edit button would do no harm and would be quite handy, Which is why every ofther Message Board I've ever seen has one.

The problem is an edit button could cause a lot of harm.

An edit button is very easily abused. In a smaller message board, I could see it being no problem. But this is a huge message board. It would be nearly impossible to keep tabs on every thread here on NewGrounds, thus making an edit button a bad idea.

I'd say at most a preview button.

Response to: still no edit button Posted February 11th, 2012 in General

I'm sure the site you moderate on is much different than the NewGrounds community.

While we do have many mature and well read posters, we also have many spammers and trolls washed up from 4Chan or various other places.

While the link bug is a valid point, I personally believe that a single broken link is better than a hundred maliciously edited posts. That could just be me, but that's my opinion.

The only way I could see an edit button working is if there was a limit on how much of the post you could actually edit. As in a few characters.

You will all get used to it.

It's been said that this redesign is going to be a continual process of updating, there fore, it's only going to get better from here.
I, for one, love the redesign. I feel its a splash of cold water on the face of the community. Exactly what we, or at least I, needed.

Then again, that could just be my opinion.
