Here's a screenshot of a game I started a while ago, got postponed until I can get another coder/artist on board.

A drug dealing kid outside of a playground...

Topic: Need help with some actionscripting

Just so you know, a proper virtual pet game is probably going to be pretty hard. Something maybe to tackle after a few months of learning about actionscript and flash games.

www.flashkit.com - I used the forums and tutorials *extensively* as I was starting out in flash, its a great resource.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Topic: Looking for flash artist (cartoony)

Hi,
I posted this in art originally, didnt read the 2nd set of rules properly! Anyway, i was told it belongs here, sorry If i got it wrong again.

Anyway, I've developing a game, loosely based around a bee flying about knocking apples out a tree to the hive to be eaten. You can see an early demo here (www.alexheaton.co.uk/games/bee/) with bits of the basic engine. Its obviously nowhere near finished, so dont expect it to be polished :P Move around with arrow keys, knock the apples towards the hive.

Basically, as you can maybe see, im a bit crap with the graphics. So I'm looking for a talented artist to help do the graphics. Well, do most of them and I will help in any way i can. In return, i offer a quarter of the sponsorship money, which at the moment is about £75 though if you do a really good job and we work well together to make a good game, not only does the sponsorship incease but i'll increase your portion as well, anywhere up to half.

Looking for quite a cartoony child-like feel, simplistic graphics (see the apple for instance, make it look better but still kinda simple), lots of graphics popping up (like the leaves) and sliding in from all sides at the menu and stuff.

The demo is a bit rusty as i said, and will be super lovely by the time its finished, so if you can give me some awesome graphics, we will have an awesome game on our hands.

My email is alex [at] alexheaton [dot] co [dot] uk if anyone is interested!

Thanks a lot,

Alex

Hi,
first off, this is my post so I apologise if this is not the correct place to put this, I checked all the guides and rules etc. and it seems to be ok..
