User Login Problem Posted October 21st, 2013 in Game Development

Here is the script
stop();

//Declear Array
var UserArray:Array = [];
var PassArray:Array = [];

//Declear Flag
var Flag:Boolean = false;

//Declear Your URLLoader
var UserDataLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader ;

//Declaer Your URLLoade as to read as Variable
UserDataLoader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.VARIABLES;

//Declear EventListener for your URLLoader
UserDataLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,onLoaded);
function onLoaded(e:Event):void
{

UserArray = e.target.data.Username;
PassArray = e.target.data.Password;
trace("Your File have been Loaded");

}

//Load your file
UserDataLoader.load(new URLRequest("Users_Password_Data.txt"));

//Declear EventListener for your button;
btn_Login.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,LoginEvent);

//Declear Function for your EventListener;
function LoginEvent(e:MouseEvent):void
{
trace("The Login Button was clicked");
for (var i:Number=0; i<=UserArray.length || Flag == true; i++)
{
trace(UserArray[i]);
trace(user_textbox.text);
trace(PassArray[i]);
trace(pass_textbox.text);
trace(Flag);

if (user_textbox.text == UserArray[i] && pass_textbox.text == PassArray[i])
{
Flag = true;
}
i++;

}

if (Flag== true){
gotoAndStop(2);

}
}

this.btn_Login.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,LoginEvent);

The script work fine!

but it never satisfy this condition:

if (user_textbox.text == UserArray[i] && pass_textbox.text == PassArray[i])
{
Flag = true;
}

even though the value are equal! any help to make this condition work?!

text value:

Username=A
&Username=B
&Username=C
&Username=D
&Username=E

&Password=1
&Password=2
&Password=3
&Password=4
&Password=5

A with 1
B with 2
C with 3
D with 4
E with 5

You have to decide that sort of thing to comes with experience! beside your worrying to much about time-limit more than deadline that's the impotent thing can you finish your product!

:2) Let's say we decide to make the episodes 22 minutes. How exact must they be?

I know it's a kind of a scope for the project but why should it be fixed!

At 10/20/13 11:09 AM, StrawberryKnock wrote:

:3) About commercial breaks. Do we need to think a lot about that?

I don't really recommend that, but If you got a sponsor you could provide it in the beginning of the show, since lots of people get annoyed from ads! I hope you took project management courses because it will help you manage your tv-series project!

At 10/20/13 11:09 AM, StrawberryKnock wrote:

:4) How do we "sell" the series when we're done?

I think you could use amazon, ebay ,whatever come on you at least have a small business background before asking! you don't really expect people to just feed you knowledge! feed your self too!

At 10/20/13 11:09 AM, StrawberryKnock wrote:

:answering these questions and maybe tell us something else important we need to think about that we have perhaps not thought of.

your thinking too much about making profit when you have no business background, if you really think that your tv-series will ever be successful it will be by luck! you forgot that open a business is all about expenses , taxes and long and short term planning! beside what part of this tv-series business are you playing?

I hope you got small background about animating because that will be a huge mistake if you don't!

don't think I am mocking you or anything, it's just the problem with people don't understand value of searching and researching in books or the internet!

Because I don't design or animate, I'm the creator, writer, and lead voice actor.

don't get your hope up too much ... people may not just animate what you want for free!

also why don't you try :

maybe you will find what you need if you used this one,

or maybe you could look through:

ok... so your problem is that you don't know if your movie require a voice actor or not?

that depend on what animation are you doing! normally, most animations does not require voice actors! only if you think that the animation will not be expressed if there was no voice actors then you can find voice actors!

There are so many voice actors who may help you with your slow progress but it always depend on their current state! sometimes they are busy with other projects so I guess it's always good to wait a bit for them until they can complete their work!

I sometime ask ATheatricalSongBird for help with voice acting if the role is for a female!
unless you need a male voiceactor will maybe you can check with larrynachos, Aqlex!

but it's easy just to check the audio portal for voiceactors demo and pm them!

hope that helped!

why do you care too much about others animation, you should not compare your skills with others! beside, I told you that he have exams, you wouldn't understand how hard it's to animate while you prepare for exam! also, sometimes you have to cut down your part in order to finish! who said that my part was 100% complete do you know that part of it was chopped during the operation!

It was a big mistake showing the script to you! if I haven't we wouldn't argue!

also let's say for example he doesn't have exams and he was lazy, so does that mean that it's the end of the world?! NO! so stop this nonsense and let this collab continue! astranime will continue and then you will do if you want ! if you argue too much you will make the collab stay longer just let it be! =.=

you will not understand that you can't close this forum anymore , we got 3 entries so far!

Response to: 1-Up Collab Posted September 14th, 2013 in Collaboration

I don't know because he got exams! so I guessed that's enough for him don't you think? plus It was I don't expect everyone to have a full done script ! plus it's really good effort for someone who is beginner in animating! this collab was suppose to encourage people to animate if he was pro or beginner, if you still don't want to be part of this then you can quit!
