A-Genius Animation Practice Posted February 17th, 2014 in Animation

Ok so I have started practicing animation for a short time and I have completed my first practice using my new pen tablet

I would like some feedback about the flow of the animation if anyone found some weird movements or slow a freeze in any parts so I can fix, It will help me upgrading the way that I animate and all of that maybe a few tips would be nice too!

Welcome to Newgrounds.

You have to put the stickman's frames into a graphic symbol. With that symbol you can make a Tween on the main timeline.
Here's a tutorial video for you.

are you sure this tutorial isn't misleading because it says motion tween but what it actually teach is classic tween

Do you mean freehand lines versus using the line tool?

I mean using brush tool for both but one of them you use Shift + Mouse and the other you draw it your self!

hope that example explain what I mean

Animation has been improving greatly and there's a whole ton of groove that has been added, thing is there is a whole ton of Art and concept to be created and I need a hand or two.. or three.

I'm looking from concept artists to Animators, almost any kind of Digital Artists. If you have time on your hands and want to team up on making some Awesome animations, send me a Note here on Newgrounds or E-mail me at collab@candyrag.com

Thanks for reading this :),

Just an advice, don't take anyone who cannot take work with your still style every well, it will damage it quality specially your animation look nice when your alone!

I'm an animator making short comedic animation right now. I write, voice, animate, and edit all of my stuff but I'm just terrible with drawing anything worth a damn. So, I'm looking for someone to help draw assets, backgrounds, and characters.

no one will help you just do it yourself . you will never get anything done if you have waited for someone to do these things for you because most people don't waste their time for someone without a benefit to themselves!

if you really insist on getting these things ready just google them you can find thousands of ready puppets you could even use AnimateGo if you really don't want to search in google for puppets.

This depends on what language you want to use to write your game, which platform you want to target (what devices should your game run on), etc.

So please elaborate a little more.

it is normally for computer device but maybe I think of allowing it to be used for mobile later on. but about the language I can't specify because any language is ok for me.

I want to know the advantages and disadvantages of using adobe flash (as3) or construct 2.

because I normally use adobe flash (as3) I am not sure if I may face lots of draw back if I decided to go to construct 2.

Help with nesting animations

At 1/7/14 05:24 PM, ExtremeFudgeMaster wrote: I am having trouble with nesting animations in symbols in Flash CS6. I am animating a character. His eyes and brows are animated and placed inside a graphic symbol. I then created another symbol, and placed the first symbol inside it so that I can move his facials features around his head. I took this second symbol and placed it on the main timeline, however now the original animation for the facial features no longer syncs up with the rest of the character. The animation plays fine in the original symbol, but when I view it anywhere else it does not sync.

grahpic symbol 1 Inside graphic symbol 2

on timeline symbol 2

if that the case then you have to go into graphic symbol 2 and add frames equal to the previous graphic symbol 1

if your timeline no frames add then add frames equal to symbol 2 and symbol 1

hope this is not confusing!
