Response to: Most teenagers are conformist. Posted August 19th, 2013 in General

You assume too much. You judge too much. You stereotype too much.

Not all teenagers are lying when they open their mouths.

A group of people doing the same thing to rebel doesn't mean they're taking social cues from whatever they're rebelling against. If a teenage boy is growing his hair out, he's not conforming to what broad society wants him to be. If other peers are doing the same thing in tandem, they have strength in numbers, but it's still not conforming.

How do you know they're spending their parents money? How do you know they're not working their asses off to get money to buy clothes? How do you know they're not stealing them? Or buying the fabric and sewing it themselves? Maybe they don't want to walk around wearing Tactical Gear and Nazi Armbands like you obviously want them to.

Fat doesn't turn into muscle. Fat gets burned while you're building muscle.

You're unpopular because you;'re a racist redneck who wears military gear and thinks he's the next Hitler.

That's what makes them fun. If you want to taste fruit, eat fruit. Jelly Beans should have bizarre flavored you can't quite put your finger on—like "brick wall", "dried habanero", and "elephant sweat".

I like it!

What are you using for wire and actuation? Why are you using hinges for the connection from the palm to the fingers? You should retool the palm to have a more dexterous range. Palms can expand and contract to move fingers.

The basic story is not confined to one area of the world, but every inhabited continent. Perhaps we should acknowledge the possibility that there remains some truth in the history passed down through the generations.

From a scholarly standpoint, you are selling an agenda. Why are these stories necessarily all derived from the same event, or catastrophe? It is much more reasonable to assume that major floods around the world threatened individual cultures and those cultures reacted by telling stories which would teach their young how to prepare for the worst. Without archaeological evidence for a worldwide flood, without any evidence that all flood myths originated from one event, why would anyone on this forum take your word for it?

Psa: Equals And Not Equals Signs Posted August 18th, 2013 in General

For too long, NGers have suffered agonizing Unicode oppression at the hands of the server. Things have changed on Newgrounds. Now that we can use Unicode to put nuance into every cock joke, it's time we started taking advantage of the opportunity.

If you want to say that something is equal to another thing, this is the mathematical symbol you would use is the Equal Sign:

=

If you want to say that something is not equal to another thing, the mathematical symbol to use is the Not Equal Sign:

This character is available using the alt+NumPad input system and the code 8800.

If you cannot use the NumPad for some reason, you may also use the programming phrase which is equal to Not Equal:

!=

You oughtn't use the nonsense phrase, Equal Divided by Equal:

=/=

Summary,

=/= ≠ !=

Equal Divided by Equal is Not Equal to Not Equal

Video threads should be allowed if the video's author is the person making the thread. That would cut down on all the "look @ this funny video" type posts while allowing cleverer Wriggle/Bendaninja-type crusaders to share their wit and talent.

Response to: Jeuse a Liberal? Posted August 17th, 2013 in Politics

Jesus was an anti-establishment Jew from a very poor family. He advocated strongly for the redistribution of wealth, strengthening of moral values, and construction of a level society. He was crucified because he was a threat to the local government.

He probably would have been a Socialist and an Activist; not an American Liberal or an American Conservative.

You're destroying potential Newgrounds revenue when you eliminate low quality shovelware like Dress-up Games. The reason people keep submitting Shovelware is that it gets a lot of hits. More hits, more ad revenue, higher quality site.
