Response to: What fictional charcter would you.. Posted January 18th, 2010 in General

I wouldn't take on the phsychology but I'm a Mew Ichigo fangirl, so have a guess. Might not be like the character based on myself (I'm a furry, go figure), but it's easier to hide!

By ignoring it. The same way I try to ignore the stuff my school listens to. Complaining about it like this is just going to make it harder to ignore, and think about it; who's the most "childish" here, the people enjoying something or the person attacking them for enjoying it?

Shame that you can't do that console stuff on the XBox 360 version though. My laptops can't handle Fallout 3!

Response to: Meaning of life: Absurd Posted January 11th, 2010 in General

I generally think of it ALL from a "question everything" point of view. However, with a strong sense of curiosity that's going to remain a goal, even if we did find a meaning to life, we would continue searching for that because for our curiosity it just would not be good enough. There is also thinking of "meaning of life" as a personal thing, a simple thing put in place that they do for meaning, that those people are aware of. But even then, if it wasn't for the curiosity where would we be today? Wouldn't we all just end up committing suicide if it wasn't for this curious nature, or give up completely because of lack of motivation?

Response to: Worst Teacher ever? Posted January 7th, 2010 in General

Year 5. I had a teacher that was a real cow. She once caught me not liking something to do with some extra work, so she started making crying imitations to take the piss, which led to me crying, and then it spreaded around the class with everyone laughing, and her not doing anything about it, with me obviously hurt by it all. It's the only time in my life I've ever said "I wish I would just die" vocally, to which the teacher realised that she actually hurt me.

I'm from the same place, but I've only encountered snow over a foot deep in one area... is quite high everywhere else though, and I'm more worried about when it starts pissing it down everyday again.

Using that, we can only turn back onto what our minds force us to believe, until we can push that barrier enough to alter our perception as we wish.

Before I told my mum anything I was really off... generally whenever it's something I'm scared of doing I can't go head first. I HAVE to trap myself in a situation where I'm forced to do it to actually expose that information. She even knows about my boyfriend, now, which I'm also glad about (granted, she was drunk, me and him were in a bit of an issue, so she said "well fuck him; get on the computer and tell him you love him"... I was really surprised.

Relating to this, I came out to my mum about being a transsexual (or just girl in a guy's body, I swear, the definition clash really does confuse even me) the other day... and the easier thing to come about was how I felt on my sexuality (bisexual)... I was shitting myself but I'm glad she's came out completely accepting, and she'll help me come out to the rest of my relatives. I still get scared about the subject around her now, but I'm more secure about it all and generally less fearful.

Response to: Favorite Instrument! Posted January 2nd, 2010 in General

I'm going to have to just say "percussion". You can turn absolutely any object into a percussive instrument, from an actual drumkit to tapping a table using your fingers for the "attack".

I would have said "bass guitar", they just sound so beautiful to me, but for percussion... you don't need anything to get a sort of beat going... using different parts of your hand for the attack on different surfaces at different areas of the surface... it's so versatile to throw around.
