Would anyone know how to make a FTP program with flash, so I can access my web server using just the swf? I already have FTP program, but I want to know how to make a simple one with flash....

Ok, I know the actionscript to toggle the movie's quality from High to Low,

but how can I make it toggle from High to Medium?

I did view the souce, and it just shows it as HTML, not PHP.

Ok, if you haven't figured it our already, here is how to beat the Portal animation at the top of the NG home page.

Click the flash animation, and hold down tab. All of the swf files blow up, and none can pass as long as you hold down tab. HEEE HEEEEE! MJ is back!

Ok, I was about 7 or 8 when this happened....

We used to have a big picnic table in our backyard, with a metal frame, It probably weighed 300lbs. Well for some reason my parents leaned it up on the side of the fence, (witht the bottom facing away from the fence) to mow the lawn or something...

So I decided to make a ride out of the table, by tying a chain to it and hooking it to the fence. Then I climbed on the bottom of the table, and held on to the metal frame. I leaned forward, and the table fell, and the chain stopped it from falling all the way to the ground....

I did this about 3 times, and had my sister do it a couple of times. Then, I tried it once more, but this time the fence snapped in half and the picnic table fell on me.

I wasnt hurt though, because I was in-between the metal frame, underneath. But it sure did scare the shit out of me.

For an object:

Go to Windows>Color Mixer>Alpha

For a bitmap:

Change the image into a symbol (F8 Key).
Choose Graphic.
Go down to Properties>Alpha

Im learning VB in my computer class at school. Its pretty lame. We dont even learn anything...the teacher just has us copy the code off a sheet of paper. YAY! IM LEARNING!

I am working on a website, and I need the code for "Total time taken to generate the page", so it displays the amount of seconds it took for the page to load, at the bottom of the page.

Would anyone happen to know this code? Here is an example, if you dont know what I mean. Look at the bottom of this website, you will see it display the seconds it took to load.

Try this:

Put a stop action on the frame with the replay button.

On the button put this:

on (release) {
gotoAndPlay("Scene 1", 1);
}

I hope this works.

But doesnt it take the file size down if you load sound from the library?

Yeah, HHR 1th mix isnt that great....I know.... but, I am working on 2nd mix with announcers and 3 songs to choose from. There will be correct arrow synching as well. I'll spend more time laying out the arrow tracks.

The reason I couldnt do that many songs, is because it would make the game too big to fit on NG, unless I can find a way to get the songs off of my site's server.

No. Sometimes the dynamic text looks low quality compared to the static text. Well, I saw this tutorial that would make the dynamic text look better.

Does anybody here know the actionscript for high quality dynamic text? I've seen the code before on flashkit.com, but i found it by mistake.

Except now I would like to use that code, I can't find it even when I try to look for it on flashkit or any other site...

Thats what I have it do now...but I need it to open it in an iframe so it doesnt have to load the whole main page again...

I have a flash button, and an iframe window on my website. I want it so when you click the button, it opens up a new window inside that iframe, but I dont know what the action script is for it to do that.

Ive tried this, but it doesnt work:
