Back to An animation experiment

Edited at 2014-11-07 07:22:59

So last night and this morning I have been experimenting in flash doing walk cycles, when I came up with an idea (well its probably been done before but anyhow) that I call "Lazy Key frames" (which again i'm sure is called something else but I like the name).

The idea is to make the key poses in your animation like you would do with frame by frame, but instead of drawing in inbetweens, you convert those key poses into symbols in flash, and basically skew and rotate them, the result -

I know it seems like cheating but like I said it was an experiment to see if it would work, what do you guys think? does it work? Do you have examples yourselves of this type of animation?
