Back to 1.7billion Euros Eu Budget Uk

Edited at 2014-10-24 10:32:18

I know very little about how the EU works, but it obviously has to tax money from member states in order to fulfil its policies

Its a lot of money, yet Germany and France are both paying more than the UK to the EU's budget, even if we do pay the 1.7 billion they're still paying a few billion more than us. The rise in the UK expenditure to the EU is due to the fact that our economy has been growing so therefore how much we pay to the EU budget rises as well.

But the Main policy the EU spends most its budget on is the common agricultural policy which sounds rather mixed in its success from the little I have heard.
