You lazy fucks.
Stereocrisis Paraphrased.
"Thinking outside the box is good, just don't lose sight of what is already inside the box.
Outside the box, on the other hand, is really only abstract thinking.
It's (annoying that) every motor mouth high school drop out thinks he's a Harvard graduate because of his ability to throw shit at the wall and make some of it stick.
(They) are intelligent enough to repeat the script of (...) a youtube video that talked about some really "deep things man" in nice layman speak that you could understand. (That doesn't necessarily mean they're a rocket scientist)
The narrator of a science show practically has to make analogies (...) for (the know-it-alls) to marginally understand the premise of what the fuck is going on.
So, just because (these self-proclaimed-know-it-alls) watched one of these shows, it doesn't qualify (them) to be my self-appointed college professor. (They) complain about the state of the world, but (they) don't take an active role in fixing it.
(They're) so full of (useless, contradictory) shit.
(It's) totally cool that (they're) trying to find answers, and clue (themself) in on what happens in the world... But (they) need to reevaluate (their) level on the totem pole. If (they) aren't ACTUALLY (the professional experts in the field they're criticizing, then they) should probably just keep it to (themselves) and hit the books until (they) DO have a firmer grasp on fucking reality.
And even if (they) do finally unlock the secrets of life.. it's (their) life. Not mine. What works for you might not work for me. What interests you might not be of any interest to me.
Then, when I don't care, (and I don't) I'm looked at as I'm ignorant, or I'm stupid. ...It's not that I don't understand the points (they're) making. It's that your points are (asinine and a waste of my time).
...I can watch the same documentaries. I can read the same books. I can, and I do. It's a private thing though. It's not something I go and try to talk to everyone about, because I know how it feels when someone won't shut up about something unimportant.
We, (generally speaking, would) just like to tell you motor mouths that we too know about most of the things you're talking about. There is no information that you could tell us that we couldn't find out for ourselves, (on our own time.)
It's even worse when some ignorant schmuck finally pieces together something you've known about for years, and they try to tell you all about it.
I've already drawn my own conclusions. (So to re-open the discussion is) boring for me...
(The incessant motor-mouths fail to pick up on context clues and body language cues that I'm not interested in what they're talking about, and they just keep talking.)
The fucking conceit is beyond tolerable. (Its disrespectful, a waste of time, and it's condescending, which really annoys and enrages me. Thank you for letting me vent here.)"

On topic, Stereo, I WHOLEHEARTEDLY empathize... my brother talks my ear off for hours on end on this shit, and he's RELENTLESS. I could ramble on at greater lengths than your original post griping about him and his holier-than-thou lecturing about why I'm an indoctrinated stupid fuck for not opening my eyes to all thats wrong in the world. Ugghhhhh...like, my heart goes out to you full-blown dude. I endure that all the time in this house, and it only drives me closer to independence to get the fuck out of here and move out and live on my own before my older brother of five years does.
Jesus, I could go on just to list the pseudo...I don't even wanna use the term "intellectual" diatribe he thrusts upon me.
