"Good execution"

date: May 14, 2007

You utilized the Harmonic Minor pretty well in this piece, and the choir gave it a very baroque aria feel, similar to the work of Progressive Metal band Symphony X. The transition between measures was very smooth. Might I suggest adding a few chromatic scales in there, using the Aeolian or Phrygian mode in harmonic minor? I'm aware that this was used in an adult film, but a bit more diversity couldn't hurt. I compose technical guitar work myself, and so long as it isn't too overbearing, it should play out pretty well. All in all, good work!

Author's Response:

Ah HAH, but is it the harmonic minor? Very close though. It's actually between D minor and Ab minor, I went freaky on it.

"Could have been a lot better"

date: May 13, 2007

if only the 'heavy metal' classification was true, yes its heavier but not quite up to par with chimaira or zao heavyness. great incorporation of all the instruments though and good work, its on my playlist this week:D

Author's Response:

As mentioned by Speedmetalmessiah, this fits much more easily into industrial, but I didn't think of that at the time: ho hum. Comments are welcome in whatever form.

"COOL"

Isee this more in the catagory of matrix or evil zombie killing, and vampires could also work, but zombie killing is my all time favorite.

"Cool track"

date: May 12, 2007

The choirs in the beginning sound pretty damn good, and lead nicely into the heavier section. The beat was good and the riff you have playing fits nicely. The end where the choirs come back in sound a bit ominous so that was cool. All around a pretty sweet tune, though I think it would have fit better into Industrial. I might be wrong though, oh well.

Author's Response:

You know, I think you're right, this should be in the industrial genre. Good suggestion!

"Incredible"

I loved how you used the choir at the intro and also closing it at the outro. I enjoyed the techno and metal mix.

"Nice man!"

date: May 11, 2007

This was a very good piece. Nice use of D minor to A major to Ab major. I love that progression and use it often in my pieces as well. I really like this kind of music. The reason why I gave you an 8, however, is because it got a little repetitive and it was drawn out a little bit over time. If you add some other melodys in the middle it would be 9 worthy. I never give out 10's.
But I'm loving the choir, it's always good in heavy songs. The guitar was pretty cool but a little drawn out. You should add another guitar melody in there somewhere.
Overall this was the shit! I'm gonna vote 5/5 for this, definetly worthy of the top 5 man!
(p.s. you should review/vote my Fight song, it's not done yet but it also has a choir part in it. Give me some feedback, I would appreciate it!)
Great work!

Author's Response:

My word someone who spotted the odd key transitions...
This music was originally written for (and is used in) an adult film, and as such the repetitiveness is important so as not to distract the viewer from his "activities". You'll find a good portion of my later music is utilised in this way :).

"Nice job"

date: May 10, 2007

The song is kickass. The rhythm of the song was pretty good, and the choir completed the whole thing. This gets 10/10 for me, I enjoyed it a lot.

"Good."

date: May 9, 2007

The choir at the beginning was a nice touch. After that, it kind of went downhill. The rhythm guitar was good, but it should be louder than the artificial sounds. Also, I think you should implement the choir through the whole song. They don't have to be too loud, more like ambient noise. Good job though.
