"Nice one"

date: August 4, 2008

Not too bad. You could take the delay off if you wanted but that would take away the drama of the song. I like it how it is. Can't wait for the final

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review man. The final is going to have to wait for a while though, because I just had a burst of inspiration....

This is great for your first piano composition, i love piano pieces and this is really nice, its got a lovely tuine to it and is fairly fast tempo'd which i like, not too slow, but even the pace of it doesnt stop it being relaxing, i like the little pauses in the piano every now and again, just before you start a different part. Excellent piece man.

"Good demo"

date: July 12, 2008

A very pretty classical song once it gets in gear a lovely track.

To begin with its fairly basic the piano nice but the keys, sound layed back and good introduction. The quality of the track is high and once it gets going about ,1 minutes the sound get stunning. With some beautiful music ,and the 2 munutes is the best a wonderful piece is played out. The finale is a lovely end we hear some superb, piano coming out. The short length is good to.

No real complaints maybe more sound at the start.

Overeal a pretty track.

"Good Job"

date: July 12, 2008

It certainly does come together very well and such, everything sounds to be well played which is good and the whole thing does have a very calm sound to it which I like. But there is something about this I'm not too keen on and that's the lack of much background, the piano playing is very good but besides that, it doesn't sound like there is much here which makes parts sound pretty empty.

Where that are pauses in this, some sort of background could fill those in to keep a flow of some kind, but not to say the whole thing is bad. I've always like the sound of the piano even though I can't play it, lmao. So on that of the piano, great work, just I feel needs some background.

First of all: The delay has to stay in there. It just wouldn't have such a great sound and wouldn't create such a good atmosphere without it.

Ok, that being said, you should get rid of the little pauses you make here and there in the song, or at least cut down on the lenght of the pauses.

You also should add some chorus, or some strings in here. Maybe a trumpet could work, too, if it is played very softly.

Author's Response:

I'll get rid of the pauses. fill them in with something interesting. I have a really low quality string sample that sounds like a really good chorus when its played really low. As for a trumpet.... I really dunno.

"Well Constructed"

date: July 10, 2008

Very well made, the main thing is that you know what keys go well with another and how to build on a song...... It's like Cooking in a way, some people can cook... others can't cook for shit...You can cook :)

Improvements:

The piano riff itself is fantastic, very involving and emotional

* More of an open reverb to the piano would sound nice, like it was being played in a big arena (gives it more depth I think)

* Build up some soft but deep strings for it (Filter in some strings that get deeper with progression to give it more feeling)

This should be great when it's finished though :)

"Very cool"

by: Shanus

I really enjoyed it, and can't wait until its made into a real full on song. It did sound quite epic. And has me salivating at the prospect of a new song. The main riff is quite catchy. But I hope the stopping is only part of the demo and not the real thing. But overall this seems like it will be a god prospect for the future

"Moving"

I think that the pauses in the middle of this piece can be a little long, but you're certainly on to something with the piano in this piece. A very enjoyable and emotional piece. It sounds a little like a requeim, which is probably how I've seen it first, so that's what my mind conjures up straight away.

I'd certainly reccomend that you edit this song, to get more out of it - losing the pauses or at least savagely shortening them is going to be a major plus point for it, so maybe consider adding something else, like some strings to go along with the piano... either that or a flute.

Author's Response:

Hmmm, maybe I should ditch the pauses now that I think of it. Since veryone one thinks I should have stirngs, I'll go with that.

"Inspiring"

Oh how I do love a good piano song! This was really gorgeous, truly beautiful elegant and graceful piano music. The melody provoked such a strong feeling of bitter sweetness with me for some reason. All good piano music tends to radiate some kind of a strong feeling to me, and this was no exception.
I think adding a nice, light, warm string ensemble would give this an even deeper, more powerful feel and really take it to the next level.
Thank you for the awesome tune once again, Bellmaker. You're quite the audio artist, from what I've seen.
Awesome work, I cannot wait for the final version. Keep it up!

"Amazing."

by: Fro
date: July 8, 2008

I really liked this. I loved the entire thing. The delay is alright, but you could of perhaps made the delay just a bit shorter. It kind of makes me think that the song is going to abruptly end. If this Demo here is good enough to make my favorites then I'm sure the final version will be absolutely amazing. I'm not going to add this to my favorites until I check out the final version though. I could see this being used at the end of a flash movie or game, in which has a sad ending or that feeling of "It's finally over, now what". Please request your final version in the request club so I don't miss it.
