You're a good musican and should continue to make lots more music but improve on it a little bit.

"A professional-sounding dance tune. Increase varie"

by: Bezman
date: July 6, 2008

At the start, the main melody sounds like it's underwater. Then you bring the volume up, bring in the drums and turn on the beats at just the right moment.

After a few repetitions of the loop, you hit a few cymbals and bring in a new synth melody.

It's all pretty formulaic to be honest and continues as such, feeling like I've heard it a thousand times before, but it's all timed and delivered with such mastery that I can't help but smile. It definitely got me moving! I wish I had a tidier room and more floorspace!

The synths you use and the whole intro is delivered like a professional track and the melody you hit us with at 0:55 is perfect for this kinda tune as are the synths you switch to shortly after.

You've certainly proven you can deliver this kind of track and hit all the right moments and pitch the melody perfectly.

I'm not sure the drum roll before the fade-out is a great idea and generally, it did feel repetitive but no more than all but the most masterful dance tunes.

Maybe some drum variation would help with that?

"Very nice"

A really good song, with that club/arena feel. Sounded very professional. I do have one complaint though, it just seemed a little too boring for the most part. A little too run of the mill. But other than that you've got a real good song here. Liked the outro especially. Just loved how it felt like a real studio track :D

Professional and studio-track in the same paragraph? im flattered :D
I'm going to try to incorporate a trance/techno feel in my next song, maybe that will help =]

"Cool"

date: June 29, 2008

This was cool, had a kind of spacey intro which i liked and it went into a dancey kinda thing. I thought it was kinda quiet though and it defo needed more bass in there.

Cool effects dotted throughout this gave it more direction and the song was structured pretty well too. Not that varying from the main beat though which was dissappointing.

"Consistent"

This tune has a good beat and a decent blend of sounds, leading me to believe that it's a well balanced tune.

You've put together a good mix, but I think that you really let the track down by not having enough variation. I know that Dance tracks on the whole don't really lend themselves to the philosophy of variation, but if you get enough variation into the track and make that into one big loop within the track, you've got yourself a solution to the issue.

"Pretty Good"

date: June 28, 2008

It's certainly very easy to listen to, which I would say is a pretty good thing, the start was done very well and I did like that, worked well. Though it did seem to be a little lacking most of the way through in parts, I mean it does all come together very well but I thought it could have done with a few more beats in parts, that could have sounded nice if done in the right way.

The fading out at the end worked well, did it's job and ended well, so good work on that, pretty good use of time, though I do have to say it did sound a little repetitive in parts. Overall though, it was pretty good, not problems with this other than sounding like it needed more.

A nice track with a good beat and a catchy melody. The length of the track is nice, too.

I like how you added so many various parts to the song. This keeps it from getting repititiv too fast.

My major concern with the track is that it all sounds too quiet. I had to turn uo the volume of my speakers even though the songs I had listened to before where all at the "right" volume. Maybe you can change that.

"Woah!"

Now THAT is a good dance beat! Solid in all areas of sound except for the one problem I had, which kept you from a perfect score. The music seemed a little faded out compared to the other submissions I've listened to tonight. I understand it has some faded out parts of the song itself, but all-in-all I think this was a great submission to the Audio Portal.

It has a great length to it, and it keeps from getting too repetitive at times, which is a huge quality of tech tracks out there that end up on CDs for major artists! You really did well on this song, so keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to more from you!

"Dancing indeed"

date: June 26, 2008

A great dance track very trance sounding and fun. It is a good track fun and the beat is fantastic, i could feel my finger tapping the beat toether.

The track is great the beat stays much the same throughout ,the time it changes but not to much as to lose the beat. I like about 2.00 in the beat sounded like a clapping sot of feel like i could count the very beats. I liked the background sounds it had mixes ,in it and was freah and fun. I though this is a good dance with other sounds, to add to the beat it was hip and fun.

This was my only concern it sounded more then dance ,more techno and trance not that it matters.

Overeall a great dance track.

Author's Response:

Im more acustomed to writing trance more than anything, if you check my other songs. Its nice to write something to dance to that has more than just loud drums, but a more melodic feel as well.
