Well, sure. There's no real reason to make a straightforward song about death. Everyone knows death is sad, and songs like that are usually pretty depressing to listen to. I take the onion approach of layering themes around the main theme, keeping people thinking.

Are the ants happy or sad, dead or alive? Could we possibly understand? Stuff like that. The idea of an ant heaven might be novel and silly, but fiction can often ring more true than non-fiction! Thanks for the review.

It felt only natural to do a follow-up on the ants. People kept asking if the ants were dead, and Ants in Blue Gel was one of my more popular songs. They're just a bunch of regular ants, but they've had a pretty big impact on my music so far! Thanks for the review.

Dark ambient... you mean like Hotel AC? If you liked that one, you should check out Kiwa Hirsuta, a song I have on itunes. I don't do songs like that very often. I try to let my emotions drive the music and I've been content lately. This song is pretty darn happy, though, I try to keep most of my songs in the "bittersweet" range... if that makes sense. One of the best pieces on NG!? Thanks, man! I would be sure to check out some of my other calming tracks before jumping to that conclusion, though. Dream Machine is probably my best super-chill ambient song, and I'd go with November Butterfly as my greatest achievement to date. But hey, if you prefer this one, who am I to say you're wrong.
