this song is so wonderfully relaxing. vain star is definitely my favorite song of yours, but this is a close second. the title is perfect, without even knowing the name, the first thing i would think would be icicles. the tempo is really nice, relaxing, but enough energy to keep your interest. i see this song as having 3 main voices: 0:21-0:25, 1:21-1:35, and i count the bass as a voice, because its not only insanely awesome, but even carriers the main melody at times like 2:05-2:19. you have three main themes, but always with some kind of wintry sound in the background be it the strings, or i dont even know what that is in 2:05-2:34 =/ this song is very complex, yet it is still easy to listen to and enjoy, i get more out of it every time i listen to it. the voices compliment each other so well, that it seems perfectly natural and not at all forced to have two main themes at the same time. one of my favorite parts is 2:34-2:48. you have the bass and the beginning theme going on at the same time, with two supporting melodies. the ending might have been better, but having things slow down to the sound of the wind works pretty well for this song i think. this song is easily one of my top ten favorite in the portal, 5/5 and 10/10 :D
