Okay, I'm going to have to preface this by saying that I have heard the original "Beat is Coming," and I didn't really like it. I tend to prefer my techno without vocals, and the cheesy high-pitched voices found in the original (assuming, of course, that I've heard the true original...the problem with dance music is that remixes are everywhere, and after a while it's hard to tell them apart) are just horrible. Really, the only dance music I've found so far that I love that has vocals are Daft Punk and Underworld, and not all of their stuff uses vocals.

Anyway, I'll go as far to say that, musically, this is fuller and more "cohesive" than the original...maybe it's because I've listened to this version more, but I find that the original seems to be lacking something, while PhsyX's remix has filled in some of that background space with something. It's repetitive enough to dance to, and changes itself up enough to be a satisfying listen in general. Great remix, and a definite improvement on the original song.

the guy below me, dude your full of shit, if you were making music for 7 years, you would probably either be signed, or you would suck ass at it and then you cant talk. this is a complete rip off the origional, just with a way worse choice of synths. like WTF. its a club song, not some cheesy crap, the baseline is shit, and overall its a complete rip off. it builds up to nothing, your excepting something intense and some good synths, but all you get is some crappy drum beats. the synths made my ears bleed at around 1.59 .

fix the synths, make your own melodys,
congrats on top 30 thoug,
this just proves that newgrounds is shit at voting systems :)

dude, f*^k ethalyn,

ive studied music for 7 years and have been raving for 3. so i know trance and techno very well. You did a great job with this piece. i love the contrast in all the different sections, and how you started and ended with the piano. the only thing ethylan was right about was the bass, its behind just a little bit, and i mean barely.

Besides for that i like it aloot, i can feel your big sections unlike some unknowladgeable person below me.

all i can say is i cant wait to load it onto my ipod!

Ok, now this song lacked rythm, it lacked a point, and above all it lacked, like... The beat...

Ok first off, the piano intro made me expect something really cool, now i never heard the original so i wont spam a one like all the other douche's around here. But dude, this did lack rythm...
When you added the ''bass''(not very bassy) It was out of rythm, now stuff like that i hear with noobs, not people that are on top 30 list >.<...A good tip is to click the ''line'' option instead of ''none'' Then your bars will correctly line up with the beat and follow your chosen BPM! Maybe you did it on purpose but hell idk =P

Now for the ''point'' part i wanna say that this song consisted 90% of meaningless buildups and 10% bad beats with a VERY weak lead and bass. A good idea is to ''layer'' synths/basses, to use several sounds to make the best sound and a more custom sound than what you get when relying on one sound to do the job. The same goes for bass choice, but here i would advice you to make your own, i find the preset bass sounds out there to be incredibly weak and boring. Programs such as Rapture and Z3ta is a great first step to getting a more reliable and powerfull bass sound!

Now for the climax part, as said this song consisted 90% of meaningless buildups, meaning that they buildup to something either very weak, or just another build up, now this song did both of them, somewhere you just put build up after buildup, and somewhere you just had a very weak climax with a poor lead and bass.
When constructing a song, or even just making a song, a good idea is to see how others do it, not copy, but learn! To see how the ''pro's'' get their songs so good, and try to see how they properly construct their songs to make it better. An intro, verse, a chorus, and an outro - must have parts in a song! This song had some of them, but without them all you get a very sloppy song which is VERY hard to follow >.<

BUT, you tried, and i want to congratulate you on the top 30, even though i think it does not completely belong here, i hope it cheers you up to make better music, and gives you the attention you need for people to hear some of your better works in the future =] I hope this review helped you in some ways man!

A nice song, but lacked some rythm and some other basic faults. BUT, you tried and hopefully you learned something out of it =]
