"Pretty good, needs some tweaking."

date: March 17, 2008

Let me just say this right off the bat: the intro needs work. It's a bit too simplistic for its own good.

The whole thing perks up when the second layer is introduced. It basically made the song.

The end is nice, just a tad bit repetitive. Mabye tone down the drums a bit though. All in all though, not bad at all, for an early version. Nice job. :)

Thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to keep those in mind if I ever get around to finishing this one!

"Some good and some not so good."

date: January 8, 2008

The intro didn't impress me, it was slightly too simplistic. Close, but not quite as good as it could have been.

I really enjoyed it once the 2nd layer came into it. Excellent during this section. I'd give you a timerange here, but IE seems to die if I try to scan while reviewing.

I didn't like the drums, honestly. It seems out of place. We have a beautiful, orchestral piece, a good take on a classic theme, and... I dunno, the drums can't be said to ruin the piece, not at all, but they just don't seem entirely appropriate here. I'm certain that they could be worked into a variation on this theme, but I'd've rathered if it weren't this one.

My personal taste coloured that a lot, I can tell, so don't take me too seriously. I'm not trying to ruin your day here.

6/10.

"Good"

It's still far from over. I'm developing some more ideas, and you ARE going to have to make changes to the sound levels. Sorry dude, but this song will hit the all time greatest list, and you will do the work to get it there. lol

Author's Response:

It somehow made the greatest list anyways, lmao. I agree though. I still need to do a lot of work to it. I'll be thinking of ideas while ROB stomps you brawl, lol

I'm impressed man. You've done some awesome stuff to this song. You're getting much much better. Good work on your solo project!

But you still suck at life =)

"I love it."

by: Rasto

It sounded very epic. It sort of reminded me of Golden Sun II. I'm not sure why it's called "Link's Reflection", though; I haven't heard that tune in any Zelda game I've yet played.
9/10'd/5-star'd.

Author's Response:

It's a kind of sadder rendition of the original zelda opening theme. I called it Link's Reflection because while i was making it, i was imagining link playing his ocarina remembering some of huge fight's he had been through. Glad u like it!
