The Japanese guy that made this two decades ago did a terriffic job on this, and did a lot of the work for you. So I'll try to forget my feelings about the melody and review what you made of where he left off.
IMHO, basically, I think there are better samples: the one in the melody in the bridge bugs me (way too squeaky), and I think a deeper/lower bassline fits this song better than the current one. Furthermore, the drop at the start is already fine, though it could be nice if you accompanied it with a supporting bass to give it more punch.
