Yo !

Well, i don't know the original version, nor i heard your first version, so my review shall be based on technical matters.

Let's see, then.

Beginning ; between 0:00 and 0:14 :

The tubular bells are discreet enough, sets the mood. Same thing goes to the strings. What i prefered though, was the leading instrument, with glide(?) effect.
The transition between the beginning and the second part is original and pretty well done.

2nd part ; between 0:14 and 0:48 :

It is indeed trancey, no doubt about it. The beat and bass are good enough to me. However, i think you could have selected a less "basic" instrument for the melody.

3rd part ; between 0:48 and 1:02 :

The coolest part in my opinion; the return of the beginning part ensemble, with the tubular bells, strings and i-don-know-what sound. Catchy, and probably the less trance of the piece, except for the steady beat. This adds variety to the piece.

Final part ; between 1:02 and 1:49 :

It seems to be the same than the second part, except it got more instruments, which a crescendo effect and ends the piece in a apotheosis.

Overall, a very well produced remix, except for the "basic" instrument.
As i don't like trance, i would have voted 4 but that wouldn't be fair. So i shall vote 5, but count it as a 4,5.

PS : long time i didn't whore myself out. I posted two new pieces. An ambient one, and a classical one. Thought you would be interested.

PSS : don't hesitate to say i'm annoying with my whoring-out stuff (in the case it does annoy you)

You havn't heard the original D: ?!

Oh my dear cupcakes... Deflektor get jour arse to teh nearest YouTube and type in "He's a Pirate" >:(! You MUST hear this song. It has literally changed the lives of every pirate in the world, not to mention give birth to many as well!

I'm glad you felt the transition at the beginning to be pretty well done, I was told to make it longer, I personally liked how it was, so kept it.

Yes, basic is a very good term for that instrument. It is your basic 3xOsc's having an audio orgy.

Thank you for the review Deflektor, i'm glad you enjoyed it, i'll jump on to your page right away!

I can hear some classical influences in the choir, hits and strings.

Overall, the kick needs to be stronger. Think Timpani, but synth.

The break is simply.... XD, very melodic, not unfitting in a trance song, but slightly out of place in a dance song.

Well, nice song, try making non-classical originals now :)

MaestroRage responds:

I thought dance tracks were supposed to be very melodic D:

I were not correct?

The kicks do need to be stronger, I don't have any synth timpani, so i'm going to have to take real timpani, and then filter it so much, it sounds like the violin string snapping.

Or something.

I'll see if I can bring myself to make a dance original track next :D. Thanks for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

I'm an idiot.

I accidentally put this in the wrong genre. You may start lynching me at your discretion!

Measures have been taken to beat some sense into myself. Thank you.

MaestroRage responds:

I can never beat enough sense into myself, it is simply not possible, what with the 5" thick metal plate I had installed in my face.

Seriously though, wow. I r win.
