Melody and crushing guitars. This took me about five hours, so like, show some respect.XD

"NICE!"

date: October 9, 2007

I must say. First of all, NICE! I found this song through Xenogenocide's favorites becuase I liked his stuff so much I felt if he gave you a 10/10 it must be good. I loved this and I look forward to your future stuff. KEEP 'EM COMING! Oh, 1 more thing. Do me a favor and send me a message telling me what program you used to make your music? Do you really play or what program did you use because I want to make music, but don't have the necessary programs. What do you recommend?

Author's Response:

Everything you hear in the recording, except the drums, is me playing synthesizer and electric guitar through a digitech FX pedal. The drums are Acoustica Beatcraft, which is a little cheesy, but pretty damn good for $30. I record everything in a multi-track program called audacity, which is more than you'll ever need for a virtual studio, imo. I also have a mixer hooked up outside of my computer, though, to balance the sound. Sooo, yeah. Check out audacity if you're looking for a recording program, but if you're looking for a virtual music studio, Cubase is the way to go. Thanks for listening!

"nice!"

I like the tone of your guitar on this one, pretty unique. Sounds nice and crunchy :D

How did you pan the bass? did you do it using surround sound settings? well,l I'd certainly like to know because my headphones are vibrating like crazy and it's forcing me to headbang! Nice one. ;)

Author's Response:

The bass was kind of an accident, really. I put a cable into the right channel of my mixer from my synth, and...that's pretty much it. I wasn't going for a heavier effect, but if it sounds cool, hey, i'm not complaining.

"Yeah."

date: September 6, 2007

Awesome man. Great job on everything. It was very interesting to hear the bass panned "outside" the guitars...didn't ruin anything, just was really cool. Transitions were nice. Pretty awesome song all together. Some wicked soloing at 4:30-on or so. Sweet man.

Author's Response:

Thanks. I've recently got my act together as far as recording. I've been using a mixer to balance the sounds. Problem is, though, with the mixer I can only put my synth stuff through one channel. That's why the bass is on the left and the guitar is in both. Long as it sounds alright, I guess it works, but i'd like to find a way to fix it. Thanks for the review!

"Soulless - An Appropiate Title?"

date: September 5, 2007

For anyone who decides to listen to this, listen to the end and decided whether this music lacks any soul. Ugh, I feel dirty now. Good, but dirty.

Honestly I didn't expect such a relaxing melody for the beginning of a heavy metal song, but that's my inexperience speaking. The transition to the faster paced melody at the end went very smoothly. The music is definitely worth listening again.

Author's Response:

Dude, relaxing intros and metal are like a symbiote. Ever listened to "Battery" or "Fight Fire With Fire" by Metallica?

Anyway, thanks for the kind words.
