"awesome"

date: July 6, 2004

i reviewed ur other version, so lemme add how u made it better here:

arrangement is AMAZING... don't take the 8 i gave you as bad, the highest grade i'd ever give to a cover is probably 8. and notice u got two 10s.. and lol im a bitch about music so awsome job..

clarity was good, but since its MIDI.. u kno.. if taht was actually played, itd b amazing. nevertheless, didnt hurt the grade

same thing with effort.. if it were played, ud definately get a 10

only two corrections this time: the rhythm of the "vocal line" is thrown off by 8th notes at parts.. but it makes it very unique so it sounds awsome. and the first chord on the bridge.. i think ur playin Dm.. and after tryin to anxiously figure it out cuz i was gettin mad at myself already: its D#dim (D# F A).. that shud work perfectly :) awsome job nevertheless

Author's Response:

Yaa I know about the D# diminished thing, I just thought the D minor sounded a bit better in this case, and I dont have any diminished chords piano loops, and my piano is out of tune, so getting that diminished chord would be too much work to get that to sound right...so I gave up on the diminished chords..... and in the program its really hard to get the exact timing with things as complicated and exact as vocals, so theres obviously impossible to get everything exactly right, but I think its close enough for my tastes at least....

And I would actually play it except I itadont know how to play every instrument... I know gur(best), bass, and piano, but I suck at the drums...
and many of the loops I use are from what I actually play, then imported and messed around with, not everything is from the program..... And my 8 track recorder is in a box somewhere and the cords are probably in a DIFFERENT box, so setting all that up is a hassle Id rather not deal with....

Anyway the chords on the bridge are
opening three notes - F E D#
and the chord progression after is -
Bb Bb/Am Gm7 F C7 C7 F, which simplifies out to be Bb Am Gm F C C F, the way it is here(C C meaning C lasts twice as long)

I even added a couple things over the actual song, such as a harmony line for the NA NA NA NA part

And actually this isnt really MIDI, I believe midi works differently that this... midi is more compterized sounding, not made from real instrument loops arrangements, but whatever, its the same KIND OF thing.

Well anyway Im now working on "Let It Be" and maybe Ill finish "Get Back" and submit that too. Other possibilities - I want to hold your hand, I saw her Standing there, and maybe Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da.....

thanks again for the review!

"Nice job"

date: May 19, 2004

I really liked it, the way you put it together was good, i liked it alot, i felt i was in like a church, like flicking a sister off and she gave me the finger then i shot her in the head, but at the end of the song i realize it's just a dream.
(no offense, if there is any feal free to IM me)

Author's Response:

thanks I hoped you liked this one better than the other one though, combining both Hey Jude's together, I probably spent about 20 hours making them, but more than 13-15 were most likely spent on this one, I kept adding and adding to it until I went INSANE, and I had to get and cut the piano from an EXISTING song (from The Clash) and so on and so forth. And about the church thing, that wasnt the desired affect, but whatever, Its all relative. ANYWAY Thanx for taking the time to give so many reviews, I wish more NGer's were as avid as you.....
